Did anyone else enjoy the three DisneyMania Cds that have been released over the past few years? I thought they were pretty enjoyable and I've seen a rumored 4th volume on a couple websites, but I was wondering if anyine could either confirm or deny that for me......thanks!!

Wow!! That's a definite surprise. I sure hope AVDP can sing. Very exciting to finally hear a Pete's Dragon cover!

I agree with you, BATBFan1....doesn't look too promising to me. IMO, no one should ever be allowed to re-do such classics as songs from Mary Poppins. Because no one can sing them like Julie and Dick did.
They turn most of these loved songs into bubble-gum pop songs that sound just horrible.

I have to say that I've never heard of most of those artists. Oh well.

Sara Paxton - She is on a Disney show but I forgot which one lol
Ashley Tisdale - Maddy from The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody
Anneliese Van Der Pol - Chelsy or however u spell it from That's so raven
Jonas Brothers - They are brothers that sing Christian music, something like Jump five but all boys and only three I believe lol.
Teddy Geiger - A new teeny bopper lol

3. I'll Try - Jesse Macartney
What movie is that song from? It doesn't sound familiar?
4. If I Never Knew You - The Cheetah Girls
NO NO NO NO NO!!!
5. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - Orlando Brown
WTF?
7. Reflection Remix - Christina Aguilera
Odd. But appropriate, since her original is really good.
10. Some Day My Prince Will Come - Ashley Tisdale
Bah!
11. Candle On The Water - Anneliese Van Der Pol
Sounds promising.
12. Yo Ho (A Pirates Life For Me) - Jonas Brothers
Eh...
Don't care about the other artists to comment on them...
The only good artists look like Christina Aguilera, Jesse McCartney, Everlife, Baha Men, and Anneliese Van Der Pol.

Cool. Thanks everyone! By the looks of the track list, this new volume doesn't seem too promising...but worth at least a listen.
I agree that most of the songs really shouldn't have ever been re-made, but the first album was good, mostly because the artists featured were actual artists and not disney offspring lol. But the other albums were enjoyable just for fun.
And AVDP can sing. She sang "Over It" for the Stuck in the Suburbs aoundtrack and did a FANTASTIC job...and it doesn't hurt that she's the hottest girl on Disney Channel right now...lol.

I've asked about this before I think, but is this the series with pop artists covering songs from Disney movies/shows? If not, which one/ones was it? I've been meaning to take a look at the track listings...

I agree! She did great with that and her song in the musical episode. I'm sure hers will be the best track on the CD! I just hope they don't change the style of that song too much because its so beautiful the way it is.
I don't get how some of these songs can be remade. Some of the new renditions are really weird (like the It's A Small World covers), but others work in an uncanny way (Skye Sweetnam's Part of Your World). I just don't like that they keep repeating some of the songs. I'm looking forward to all of them though out of curiousity. I wonder how the Cheetah Girls sing "If I Never Knew You" since, well, they're all girls!

Peter Pan: Return to Never Land
- and its very, very good. Second only to 'Stories' from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas in sequel originated original songs.

I agree that the song is good, but Return to Never Land is far from a classic Disney movie. I wish the series would stick to the classics.
PS Has anyone else been to the Disneymania 4 website? I have, and it doesn't seem to work for me. I tried clicking on the songs to hear samples, and I don't get sound. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmm...seems fitting since he did "The Second Star to the Right" for one of the Disneymanias, IIRC.

I've heard of the new Disneymania 4 and it sounds like it's a pretty good CD. Jesse McCartney, Ashley Tisdale, Jonas Brothers are some of my favorites.

I just listened to the samples on the official website. All around, it's no different than the previous two albums. Some songs will impress, some will be just okay, and some will have us saying:
1) Who is singing this?
2) Why is this song even on here?
3) What movie is this song from?
And just a cool little tidbit...DisneyMania 4 is hitting the street on April 4th...the fourth CD in the fourth month on the fourth day. tee hee[/b]

DisneyMania 3 was great because it had some kinda punky and rock versions of songs (and Lalaine's Cruella DeVil was very original). This one sounds liek it's going to be a crappy pop CD. That's sad. i'll prolly get it anyway, though.

Lalaine's Cruella DeVil was very very bad. Quite possibly the worst. song. ever.
