Are you serious? Sorry if I'm curious, which store did you go to and how did they sell it so early?
Oh well. Lucky you, pleasurebay.
*Is speechless* Ahem...sorry, my anticipation is killing me and I can't wait for 2 weeks.

There is a small DVD store on 33rd street across from the Empire State Bldg loading dock, where I was browsing their used selection this morning when I saw several copies stacked on the shelf behind the register, so I asked for one and they sold it to me

That's very nice from a him. It's quite rare that some stores sell unreleased DVDs these days. Not even big-marketed stores even sell those unreleased DVDs unless customers reserved a copy from it.Anyways, congratulations for your findings!

Sometimes in Central FL area the small stores like Walgreens will put out the movies on Sunday when they are supposed to be on the shelves on Tuesday.
I got some DVD copies a few days early too--but not THAT early...u lucky duck!

That is way too early! "Lady and the Tramp" must to be coming out on DVD a week from tuesday. New York City had one but not yet elsewhere.

Lucky.
The only time I found a movie out a week early was Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition. Had to pay $10 than what I would've paid at Wal-Mart first week, but it was worth it!

Hey pleasurebay, I was wondering if you could take a few pictures of the slipcover & dvd case? I'm itching to see how it looks UNdigitally. I know it'll kill the magic of opening it when I buy my copy, but oh well.

I've done that with single and little retailers, but never with Borders, Costco, Kmart or Wal Mart.

WOW, that is so awesome!
I am curious to know, what new music videos do they have on the DVD? I believe one is Jim Brickman's Version of Bella Notte, and what other song did they make a video to? SO Curious to know.
I love the song Bella Notte now lol. It is really pretty.
Did you get your virtual puppy yet? how in the heck does that work?

My favorite store to watch for early shelving is our local K-Mart. They never miss putting out releases on the Sunday before the Tuesday of release day.
Suncoast Motion Picture Company has the stand-ups for the DVD release and they have an empty DVD case with the sign 'Coming February 28, 2006' on it. The cover looks awesome and they are still taking pre-orders for the movie.
I am sure that Best Buy will have the best price, and I just got a $10 Reward Zone certificate in the mail and I will save it and buy "Lady and the Tramp" on Tuesday the 28th.

Unless I was Donald Trump I don't think I'd ever shell out an extra ten spot to get a movie a week early. Maybe a couple bucks but I'd like to think $10 extra in my pocket for practicing patience for 7 days would be a great incentive. Not like anybody was going to run out of them. They probably only printed 50 million copies.

*waits anxiously for the picture*
I found the Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge game three days before its release at a Wal-mart. I was happy as a clam!

Yay! Thanks pleasurebay! If you don't mind me asking, what's that little yellow dot on the top right hand corner of the slipcover?

It's a little sticker (removable) about a 1/4" in diameter
