Because I have yet to see any the nominies... (or should have beens)
I can't really judge but based on what I've heard should have really come down to:

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN or WALK THE LINE - Picture

other than that of all the info I have the cast of BBM gets my nod for the rest.

Although "Brokeback Mountain" is a truly beautiful movie and deserves a lot of awards, I don't believe that Hollywood is going give the movie the Best Movie Award. I think that they will be Politically Correct and safe and award it to "CRASH".

Best Actor will probably go to Philip Seymore Hoffman for 'Capote'.

Best Actress will probably go to Reese Witherspoon, but I would like to see Felicity Huffman get it for "Transamerica".

The rest will probably be disappointing so I am not watching the awards this year. Not one really deserving movie is going to get their just rewards.

I really don't understand this statement that you have been making over in over again. If they Academy played "Politcally Correct," then wouldn't they give it to Brokeback Mountain, since acceptance of homosexuality is the latest politically correct topic? :?

Yeah, I don't really understand that comment. If Brokeback isn't "politcally correct", neither is Crash, Munich, or even Goodnight and Goodluck, which would leave Capote the only "politically correct" film to win.
