Hello all,

I was trying to remember which walt disney presents short was the one about a coyote in like hollywood or la or something like that. I remember watching it a really long time ago on the disney channel and all i really remember is it being a narrator talking about this coyote as it was travelling around the hollywood area. any help would be rad. thanks.

I think Chico, The Misunderstood Coyote is the one your thinking of.

The show you are thinking of is "A Country Coyote Goes Hollywood" which was first aired on TV back on 12/19/1965. It was first released as a theatrical featurette on 1/28/1965. I also remember seeing it on the Disney Channel.

Chico, The Misunderstood Coyote (10/15/1961) was an entirely different TV show. The confusion is probably because, if I remember correctly, both coyotes were named Chico in the two shows.

In "A Country Coyote Goes Hollywood", Chico hides in a moving van to escape a pack of dogs and dune buggy racers. Chico is trapped in the van, which takes him to Los Angeles. When the van stops and the door is opened, Chico heads for the nearest hills he can find - the Hollywood Hills. He meets other coyotes in the area and learns lessons on how to survive near humans.

I hope this helps you remember more about the TV show. I taped it off the Disney Channel but I no longer have a copy of the show. I don't recall if it was ever released on video.

It's an old fave of mine from the Disney Channel airings I used to watch growing up. Would love for that one to come out on DVD. I always remember the scene where he eats the golf ball.
