Make Mine Music & Melody Time: Unedited Where on DVD?

So I know that both these movies were edited in their current "Gold edition" releases.

Make Mine Music is missing the "The Martins & The Coys" and also "All The Cats Join In" has had the girls cleavage severely reduced. And of course Melody Time's "Pecos Bill" segment has been completely edited to remove the cigarette.

Does anyone know if the other regions carry the full uncensored versions? I know the Region 2 Melody Time has the uncensored Pecos Bill, but what about Make Mine Music?

And if not, does anyone know about any DVD copies of the uncensored overseas laserdiscs existing? I wouldn't mind slipping my Gold Edition insert/disc into a 2-disc dvd amray, and putting a dvd-r copy of the 'uncensored' versions in there with em.

I made my DVD-R of "Make Mine Music" from the first release VHS and did the same with "Melody Time", so I have the unedited versions of both films on my own DVD. They can do what they want with those titles but until they bring them back in there true release form, I will keep my DVD-R copies and enjoy.

I have both films on DVD-R, both dubbed from the Japanese LaserDiscs. PM me.

Wow, they reduced the cleavage in "All the Cats Join in", huh? I just watched the disc a few days ago for the first time in a long time, and was quite surprised at how risque' I found that segment to be for Disney in the 40's, especially when the artist originally draws the one girl with a larger than normal backside/legs. At first the boys recoil in horror and the girl gets all bent out of shape. Then he "erases" her figure to a more pleasing, less plump shape, and right on cue, the boy jumps in and starts dancing with her.

So much for body image and female objectification, huh?

I'd actually be interested in seeing this segment the way it was originally drawn.

There isn't much of a difference as far as I can tell - the girl has slightly more "volume" for a brief moment while getting out of the shower.

It's very minor, and probably one you can't notice unless you were to watch all the way through. i didn't realize it till i saw this:

Wow. How do you know they'll be unedited? None of those has, to my knowledge, ever been available in Scandinavia. But this probably means they'll be released in Finland as well...

As far as I know, the Region 2/Region 4 (UK/Australia PAL) copy of Melody Time is unedited.

My very first (and very poor) review for DVDBits was on this title:

The Australian Make Mine Music appeared on solicitation lists a few years ago, but was then withdrawn. A shame, because the running time indicated an unedited copy.
