The Jungle Book

This is one of my favorite Disney movies and I can't wait until March of 2007, when it will finally get its Platinum Release. Currently, I have the LI DVD and although it's nice, I want to see what the PE will have for extras. The movie has such great songs and characters, so I bet the PE will be packed. Not to mention, this was the last feature Walt was involved with (unless you count his approval of The Arisotcats). I won't mind if we get a widescreen version, either, since the LI is fullscreen (). Anyone else really excited to see this movie in a little over a year?

Hate to tell you this, but the LI DVD is in the OAR of 1:37.1 :p

Well, that's bittersweet. It's nice to know I have the movie as it has always been, but I love widescreen. Still, I can't wait until the PE!

Hi
I bought this movie off of ebay and am wondering if it is the real deal or if it is fake.
Need help figuring it out. I was wondering did it have any previews of other movies on the disc? Also, did the box it self have amaray on the inside of the box?

Check out this thread, it's probably the most useful thread on the site about checking for bootleg DVDs.

I was wondering if the dvd is rough or smooth on the Jungle Book also on the 101 Dalmatians? I recieved both today. They are both the limited Issue.

The inserts are thick and very shiny. On the disk where the pic is on the bottom it has a Letter and 4 numbers after the letter it is the same on the back of the disc. The person that sold me the dvds he had this in the auction (Authentic Region 1 DVD with all factory security stickers still in tact or your money back) If they have that would they even bother to put that if they were fake. I will try and get pics to put up as soon as I figure out how to.

How do you post pics on here? Im wanting you all to see if you think my dvds are fake or the real deal. I know you have to have an image stored on a publicly accessible web server. Is there any servers that do that and dont charge you for it?

Hi,
Normally the disc is a little rough, inserts are not real shinny at least mine are not..You can download a program such as DVD Decrypter and
run the disc and see what regions are displayed. region 1 and most times Region 4 will show as they are compatable..
If it shows all region; it is a boot..Hope this helps..

I have a question on the front of the disc where it has the printed in the USA around the edge of the disc and at the end of it where it has a letter than 4 numbers. On the back of the disc it has that same letter and 4 numbers but you have to move the disc kind of in the light to be able to see it where it is almost hologram like. That is the only way I could descibe to look at it.

From looking at your pictures, and checking my copy, which I bought sealed, you have the real deal.

Also, the inside case (inside of the spine) does say AMARAY.

By the way, I think it is HILARIOUS that they list Full-Color Character Artwork On Disc as a Special Feature on these Limited Issue releases. That's so funny to consider that as a Special Feature!
