KP! THE DUMBEST SHOW EVER MADE ON TV!

That's So Raven is so awful, it would seem no intelligent human would be low enough to create it. The jokes are way too over-the-top and unfunny, the video quality is bad, and the acting is so cheesy, the actors probably use it when making Mac & Cheese.
Sister Sister comes close though . . .

Everything but Kim Possible, but Kim and Ron need to get together and it would be a great show, and make it a Toon Disney show instead.

That's So Raven, The Proud Family and Even Stevens all the actors and actress are so lame and don't act right at all.
It 's like they never past acting school or something like that.
Kim Possible is a great show come on at least it has action.

All of the non animated shows as well as Kp and the Proud Family stink. I usually watch Toon Disney. But even that channel is cutting the good shows for Recess and Filmore

Poor Gummi Bears!

I don't care for The Proud Family, among others. That's So Raven. Lizzie. Lizzie was okay until the show got too popular, and then the mess with Miss Duff...or whatever happened there. And was their an on-set rivalry with Lalaine or something? She just disappeared! They would explain it like, "Oh, she's visiting her aunt...in Mexico," or with odd comments like that. And then they just forgot about her. LOL. Hmm. There has to be a story there...
I have to say that, of all Disney Channel shows, Even Stevens was and is my favorite. Come on: Your Toast. "Welcome to Your Toast. You'll like our toast the most." How can you not like that?
And Influenza: The Musical.
"We went to the moon in 1969..."
However...the show very nearly, came SO close to jumping the shark with the Disney Channel movie. It was so bad! LOL. It was a stunt movie, is what it was. Had nothing to do with the setting or the regular themes of the show (aside from sibling rivalry). But I can forgive it for the movie...and look back at the episodes. Somtimes it got cheesy...to the point of being hilarious, but it was pretty sly and witty, for a show like that.

I think I remember hearing or reading something once about Lalaine's absence and I think it had to do with her wanting to do other things. I know she had a small guest role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer during that time (she wasn't very good and was not a big hit with fans).
It wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of rivalry. When an actress only goes by one name, there has to be an ego involved.

I heard she was jealous that the Company kept focusing on Hilary's singing career, when it was LaLaine who's been wanting to be a musician for years! She sang on the show once, and I thought she was really good! If only Disney had given her a CD...

I would say that the show came closer to jumping the shark with the Tawny/Louis love plot than the movie. Some shows can deftly switch from comedy (even absurd comedy) to drama (I'll cite "Pete & Pete" here, as I do in most threads, it seems, or "The Wonder Years" even)...but Even Stevens could clearly not.

Do you think "8 Simple Rules..." will be able to do that? I hope so...

I don't know, as I've never seen it. Nonetheless, it's one thing to pull it off within episodes, but to dramatically shift the tone of a series altogether, that's much more difficult, particularly in the face of real life tragedy. A part of me is glad that they're trying, though.
