The Return of Jafar and King of Thieves

The site says Return of Jafar and King of Thieves are expected to be released not too long after the Aladdin Platinum Edition. Yay. But I have a couple questions about these two movies (I kinda like RoJ, and I'm very fond of KoT).

1. Were either of these movies originally widescreen, or, since they were DTV, is the OAR full screen?

2. Is there any chance at all of Robin Williams doing the voice of Genie for the Return of Jafar? I know it would involve reanimating scenes and all that, but I think I read years ago that Disney had to reanimate about half of Genie's scenes in the King of Thieves when Robin Williams signed on to do the voice. So any hope of Disney bringing back Robin Williams for the DVD?

3. Were either of these titles officially announced or mentioned for release, or is it just a case of we can expect it?

Many thanks to all.

1) The OAR should be Full Screen. That's how King of Thieves was released in the UK, and I suspect it will be the same for us. Since they really mark the beginning of the DTV sequels, I'd imagine they were animated for 1.33:1.

2) I highly doubt this would happen. Even if Disney spends more money, time, and effort on The Lion King 1 1/2 than seemingly any other animated film, short of The Lion King and Sleeping Beauty...I just don't think they'd spring for this, nor do I think it'd be embraced by people who want the film as is, untouched. (Maybe they'll add all new scenes, though, since they're so big on that. )

3) Neither was officially announced for the US, but all signs point to them coming similarly to Disney's big budget campaign for B & B films last year, and TLK films over the next 10 months.

Disney would never pay Robin Williams to essentially remake The Return of Jafar.

I highly doubt, too, that these DVD debuts will be anything like the reported Lion King 1 1/2 set. I don't know why Disney's spending all the money to give us a double-disc 1 1/2, but with the two Aladdin cheapquels I can't see that happening. These two will probably arrive as single-disc "Special Editions" a la the BATB cheapquels.
