I just might. Not big into sports movies but this looks really good. Plus it's Disney first release of the new year. Might watch it with a friend or something.

C'mon Disney, this idea has worked well a couple times in the past, but how many films about a coach who ends up "putting his heart into the game" and using passionate players do we really need?

LOL That's not all folks. Don't forget Disney's other sports picture coming out in the fall, "Invincible".

I just love the way you pre-judge a movie. What makes you think this might not have a different slant on a familiar story. This types of movies are not all "Rocky" clones, you know.

I might see this... I love disney sport films.... so i will either see it in theaters or just rent it

Junkie is right!

From the photos of the film (http://movies.about.com/od/gloryroad/), it's not about a coach's hard work for rewarding a prize. It's about the first african american basketball players to join the NACC basketball tournament of 1966 to win the title. Most of you remember about Disney's "Cool Runnings" in around the mid 90s when the first African American boblsledders won the gold medal in the 1984 Olympics. Glory Road may be similiar to Cool Runnings but I think it deserve some good critique.

DVD fodder. I've seen about every sports movie there has been in the last few years and they're basically all the same.

I might see Glory Road since I'm a big Basketball fan!!!!
But maybe I'll just rent it before I buy it.

I'm typically not a 'sports movie' fan, but I have been pleasantly surprised before. I actually watched the trailer for the first time this morning, and it was certainly moulded to look like a typical 'rags to riches' sports movie. That said, the civil rights element to the film - not to mention a great lead - should be enough to lift it above (or at least make it a little different from) the 'typical' sports film.

Who said that every film is blueprint of Rocky? If that's well said, then I don't want to know how something is said badly. I have yet to find that pleasant surprise (except maybe Friday Night Lights, but that's far too gritty for the tyke mentality some people have around here) to make me spend 10 valuable dollars and sacrifice two hours of my life.

I'll stick with my football inspirational movies- this seems a little too similar to "Remember the Titans," and I can't have any movie ruin "Titans" for me. Especially if it's a basketball film.

The movie looks really good. I'll probably see it, 'cause I loved Remember the Titans.

So many trailers have painted a flm in the light that is most 'marketable'. As I have not yet seen the film 'walk and talk yet' - and given that it hasn't been released, few have - I will wait until it is in cinemas to see whether it is indeed a water fowl.

Biologically, that's impossible. Civil rights and social class struggles added to ducks do not make swans. When you do see it, though, I'll allow you to tell me all about it.

Prince Eric...........haven't you ever heard of a matinee price for movies. Why pay those god-awful high prices for a movie that you may or may not like. I am a firm believer in getting in for as cheap as possible to all first-run movies. Of course, being a part-time projectionist nowadays does have its perks.

Here in Kansas, all matinee shows before six p.m. are $4 or $4.50 depending on which theater you are going to. The largest popcorn and soda you can buy will set you back a whole $7.00. So, for the price you pay for the evening rate, you could go to a matinee and save some cash.

I am sure that you have theaters in your area that have Matinee prices for their first-run movies. Take advantage of it, and enjoy the show!!

Every theater I know of has matinee prices, but even at a reduced cut, that is still not enough to get me to the theater to see this particular movie; my money is precious.

By the time January rolls around, I am usually desperate for a good movie, so I will see this one.

Besides, I love Bruckheimer, basketball, and Remember the Titans, and the trailer worked for me, so this should be right up my alley.
