My Neighbor Totoro

Well I guess that I don't have to use reverse psychology to win.

My Neighbor Totoro

Unlike Howl's, it stood the test of time. This isn't the movie I would have chosen to win by any stretch, but it's one of Miyizaki's best, and a great children's classic. Plus, the idea of the movie that was the subject of so much controversy last time, first surviving and then being retroactively eliminated in the final 10, coming back and winning All Stars is too funny to resist. It's been a strange edition. Might as well go for the strange ending.

And the funniest thing of all is that I targeted this in the first round, but backed off as a favor to Castle.

My Neighbor Totoro

For the fact that many people would have a hard time calling Howl's Moving Castle the best animated film of 2005, let alone of all time, whearas noted critics/film historians have repeatedly named My Neighbor Totoro as one of the finest films in all cinematic history. :)

My Neighbor Totoro

Howl's Moving Castle was a good movie, but no Studio Ghibli film will ever replace My Neighbor Totoro. I used to watch this movie when I was a little kid..I thought it was about flying pillows. How could you NOT like a movie with a flying cat bus?!

Wow, sort of quiet for a finale round. But the results are very clear, and it would take 9 more votes to change anything.

So.......by a vote of 10-2, the winner of Ultimate Animated Film All-Stars is My Neighbor Totoro!

One of the Two Movies that I was pushing from Round 1 to win, has won! :D My strategy worked nearly perfect. Of Couse Castle in the Sky was teh other movie, and that got the boot with a few rounds to go. But this is great! Everyone dance! :P
