Anyway, I've got a couple bits of new DVD information for you this afternoon. First, Disney has officially announced the release of the animated Chicken Little for 3/14. Extras on the disc(notice it's not plural) will include deleted scenes, 3 alternate openings, music videos by The Cheetah Girls and the Barenaked Ladies, a karaoke sing-along option, the Where's Fish trivia game and more.
Disney, Disney, Disney!
I would've preferred a "Chicken Little: The Sky is Falling" Edition on 2 discs.

WoW! March 14th! That's pretty early.... DVDs are coming out so much quicker! Im suprised TDB was the first to hear of this. Did we get an announcement from Disney, Luke? Im VERY suprised that they did not mention a 2-Disc. Who knows? I hope it has more bonus features that just that. Sounds pretty bare to me

A single disc? Damn. Hope it doesn't mean Disney's going the 20th Century Fox route and re-releasing it several months later as the 2-disc it's supposed to be. March 2006-single disc, December 2006-two disc special edition in time for the holidays!

I can't wait for this DVD. This DVD is taking a little longer than some of the other dvd's that have come out in the last year or two. The one that took the longest to be released to DVD in the last 2 years is Polar Express which took a year, On the other side of the coin it took 2 months for Surviving Christmas to go from theaters to DVD

Not. One. Behind. The. Scenes. Featurette.
So far, this set is getting a big dubbaya-tee-eff from me. Does a movie have to have a gross the size of
The Lion King's in order to get a 2-discer? As always, deleted scenes and the alternate openings sound good, and I appreciate the Barenaked Ladies video, because I liked
One Little Slip, but the rest is just a waste of disc space and time, in my opinion. Disney knows exactly what their fans want, but for some reason, only deliver halfway.
and more.
Ah, yes. Where would we be without exclusive sneak peaks and a slipcover?

On the bright side, there's no Disney Channel Circle of Stars. Of course, those are reserved as BAAAAAAAAAAAAD featurettes on Platinum titles...

Ugh, I can't stand looking at that crap. They need to do away with that permanently, they ruin good Disney songs.

WOW!!! Chicken Little is coming on DVD earlier then I thought and it should have been a 2-Disc SE oh well.
At the Artwork needs work too.
Great Disney put Chicken Little up against Batman Beyond Season One and Justice Legaue Season One....

Well, I think one reflects the other. There is a quick turn-around for the disc - keeping with Iger's desire to see smaller windows - but it also lacks bonus features. I think that is indicative of
Chicken Little: The Double Dip Edition sometime in the not-too-distant future. (Mmm...Chicken Dip).
Still, the lack of any substantial features or commentaries in that (preliminary) list is disheartening. The front page of UD.com also lists 'the making-of featurette "Hatching Chicken Little"', and you never know - it could be 2 hours long! (I doubt it though)
I think I can wait until May 30 to buy the local Region 4 product in this case.

I think the cover art will change by then, I dont see Disney releasing the MIB cover. Nor does the cover have Abby on it. But if it doesn't change, I'm at least happy Morkubine Porcupine made the cover.
As an extra I hope that include the Chicken Rap video that was on the web.

I think Loomis right as there will be a Chicken Little: Double Your Money Edition will come in before Christmas time. (Studios needing more money.) To be honest I really only want the Cheaper Single Disc and if they release the double disc, I pick up a featureless CL off the Amazon Marketplace for $6 including shipping.
Of course, the double dip might include the Disney Channel Circle of Stars singing It's The End Of The World. That might so Craptular that it worth a viewing.

IM NOT! THE GUY SAYS THREE WORDS! COUNT 'EM! "Yo", "No", "Whoa". THATS 3 WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now if Mayor Don Knotts I mean Mayor Turkey Lurkey was on the cover that would be cool.

I agree. That guy was such a waste of a character. He's definately not coverart material. He's "unpopular character that hosts a set-top game on the DVD" material, but not coverart. Why not put the Ugly Duckling on there instead? On the same note, the coverart sucks. They even made a pop-culture reference on the DVD coverart? Pathetic.
At least there's a making-of featurette now. Unfortunately, the "and more" part is gone. That means no commentary, theatrical trailer, or teaser trailer, but they could pull a
Home on the Range and provide an unannounced commentary.

I never knew there was so much Morkupine Porcupine hate.
Well this should make you happy, there isn't a Morkupine Porcupine mini toy or figure anywhere. Even Turkey Lurkey and Goosey Loosey have figures in different Chicken Little playsets.

We dont hate him its just there are so many better and more key-to-plot-ish characters in the film.

I myself doubt it will be on DVD at all.

Wow. What's the nicest way to put this.... the cover sucks!
I don't care for the whole "Men In Black" spoof, I mean it might make a good poster, but it just looks awful for a DVD cover. I also hate the designs for "Chicken Little", "Runt of the Litter" and "Morkubine Porcupine" are in some of the worse possitions ever. The only thing that looks good is Fish Out Of Water(which of course I'd find cool no matter what possition he was in

).
I don't mind Morkubine Porcupine being in there, but it needs more. It also needs better designs for characters and background!
Since the DVD looks mediocre, why did they have to make a awful cover as well?
Shame! I was had high hopes.

No hate _here_, honey! I just saw the movie for the first time this year and I LOVE Morkubine Porcupine! He's my favorite character in the movie. I do agree, however, that Abby should be on the cover, as she has a major role in the movie. I do wish Morkubine had a bigger role, not to mention that he should have been available as a plushie or other toy. (I didn't know there was a Turkey Lurkey one--I know someone online who is a huge fan of his and would really love that!)
(Sorry I'm resurrecting an ooooollllllllld thread, but I didn't see "Chicken Little" until this year!)
