How do you collect your DVDs?

Strange title, I'm sure, so let me explain.
The type of collectors:
0. The Really Normal People - "I don't have time to watch TV, much less buy a DVD and a player for it just to watch it on TV when I can catch it later on HBO or something. So I don't need DVDs since I can catch it on TV. I don't even remember the last time I watched TV actually..."
1. The Normal People - "I'm just a working-class parent of two who doesn't have much time for myself what with a job and my spouse and kids. If I remember what movies are and I see one that I particularly like, I'll pick it up...eventually. At last count, I only needed to remove my left shoe in order to count to 15, which is how many DVDs we have in our house."
2. The Limited Collector - "I only like certain movies. Mainly (insert genre), I really only like those kinds of movies, and don't care to own any other kind. I've got probably 20 titles right now, simply because movies aren't my life."
3. The Frugal Collector - "I love all types of movies, and if I see a movie that interests me, I'll make sure I have it. I don't care much for extra discs, those usually cost money. So long as I have the movie in my home, I'm happy. Right now, I've got between 25 to 50 movies."
4. The Hybrid Collector - "I love all types of movies, but some of them aren't as important to me as others. A great movie like The Sound of Music I'll get the two-disc edition of, but I can do with the regular single-disc version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's the movie that counts, so I only get the tricked-out multi disc editions if I really really like the movie. I've got probably 50 regular editions of movies, and maybe 10 or 15 special editions."
5. The Average Collector - "I love all types of movies, and I also like to at least have a few bonus features that are about the movies. Bonus features are important, but not as important as the movie itself. But if given the choice between a movie-only or a movie-with-bonus features DVD, I'll pick the latter. I've got about 100 movies to my name, many of them multi-disc."
5 1/2. The Average Disney Collector - "I'm the Average Collector, but also a Completist when it comes to anything Disney DVD related! All 44 Animated Classics will soon be mine! Mine, all mine!"
6. The Completist - "I love all types of movies, especially franchises. But even if there are lesser movies in a franchise, I'll buy them, simply because I like to have a complete collection. For example, I've got every movie with the name National Lampoon on it, even though the recent ones are all clunkers. It's not necessarily about the movie, it's about the line and about the DVD. I have probably 150 to 200 movies, though I probably only watch and appreciate 26 of them."
7. The Aficionado - "If I see a movie, and it amused or entertained me even the slightest bit, I'll make sure it's in my collection just in case I want to watch it. Sure, I've got my usual favorites, but I also collect movies with the intent of running a mini-DVD-rental store for my friends and relatives. I've got probably 300 or so movies, though I have probably seen only 115 of them more than once since I bought it."
8. The Big Spender - "I'm the Aficionado on steroids. I need every edition possible, every movie ever made, by every company that's released it. It's all about the bragging rights! Who else on my street can say that they've got every season of every Star Trek show ever aired, or every movie that Audrey Hepburn was in or every entry in the Criterion Collection? I stopped counting how many I had when I reached the 1000 mark." (this is not a jab at dvdjunkie or ultimatefilmfan, they fall under the Aficionado category, despite having large collections).
9. The Slipcover Fanatic - "I don't care for the movies, just the slipcovers. If a movie doesn't have a slipcover and originally came with a slipcover, I'm gonna hunt that slipcover down until I find it, and stare at it for hours on end. Oh yeah, and I may slip that circular disc into my player and see what the movie is all about."
10. The favorite customer at BestBuy - "Everyone at BestBuy knows me by name since I have a weekly appointment there every Tuesday. My income goes mainly to bills, food, gas, and DVDs. Everything else someone else can buy for me on my birthday or for Christmas. I've got clothes, and until they burn in a fire, I don't need any more. I've got furniture, and until they burn in a fire, I don't need any more. I've got a home theater system, and until it burns in a fire, I don't need another."
11. The Coaster Collector - "I've invested so much into DVDs that I've collected all there is to collect and I don't even like to watch them anymore, so now I have a very expensive collection of coasters and frisbees..."
I like to think that I'm an Average Collector. At last count, I had over 350 DVDs, though many of them are single-disc editions of movies I enjoy, while my favorites are in the better editions. Of course, there are some exceptions, as some movies have wonderful single-disc editions (Newsies and Superman the Movie come to mind).
