Early 90s "Mary Poppins" videos

Hello, I need some help here.

I am really confused about the late 80s/early 90s "Mary Poppins" video.

Image

The official Disney company considered it as part of the "Black Diamond" series in the very same way the early 90s "Fantasia" and "Pinocchio" videos were featured. I already know about the version of the tape with the white label with Sorcerer Mickey on it, but I need to know something about this here...

When was this black label version issued? Also, what animated logo does it had before the movie starts? I heard rumors that it DID have one of the "Walt Disney Classics" logos before the film, but I could be wrong.

Does anyone here have that edition above and can help me?

I have the original black diamond edition shown above (I think it was one of our first Disney movies). I checked the tape, and it's the one with the white label on the VHS, circa 1989. Anyways, I checked the tape, and it opens with the Sorcerer Mickey opening that says Walt Disney Home Video, not Walt Disney Classics. So my tape is most likely the early version that you have as well.

BUT I checked a few of my other Black Diamond tapes, and they started with the printing-on-VHS label in 1990 or so, so that's most likely when Mary Poppins started it as well. Don't know about the rumor of "Walt Disney Classics" appearing on a later Mary Poppins tape, though.

Actually I don't have it yet. And I suspected the white-label one had the "Walt Disney Home Video" logo, of course.

I have the original VHS version in a clamshell case with the early 90's cover as Logoliker2004 pointed it on this thread.
