Theme Park DVDs

I would like to know if there are any Disney Theme Park related DVDs commercially available.
Other than the "Disneyland USA" Treasures set, the only ones I know of are two from Tokyo Disney Resort: "The Complete Guide" and "Tokyo Disneyland 20th Anniversary". (I have them both.)
Are there DVDs like these available from Disneyland Paris or the American Disney Theme Parks?

I believe you can send away for promotional "holiday planner" DVDs - you may be able to pick some up from a Travel Agent (a couple of years ago I got a Disney planning VHS from a Travel Agent).

Thanks for the tip.
There seems to be a free Walt Disney World Holiday Planning DVD available from Disney.co.uk, but it is for UK residents only... :(

I have 5 theme park DVD's myself, Billy Moon, and I'm pretty sure that that part of my collection is complete.
I have a DISNEYLAND RESORT VIDEO GUIDE, a WALT DISNEY WORLD VACATION PLANNING GUIDE (Where Magic Lives) and another Walt Disney World DVD that also includes "The Walt Disney Story". And then there are the 2 Tokyo Disney DVD's you already mentioned. The only park that has no DVD available (yet) is Disneyland Resort Paris.

Good luck & take care,
Bart

How does one purchase the Toyko Disney DVD's? I would love to have these.

Also, there is a WDW park DVD titled The Magic of Christmas at Disney. It pops up on Ebay quite often.

Here's the Tokyo 20th Anniversary Disc

Remember these are NTSC R2 DVD's. You need the correct equipment to play them.

Disneyland Park Sing-along

Just a small warning, while at Disneyland we saw a red DVD type case with the title Disneyland Park Sing-along, and no information all all regarding its contents. The person at the counter assured me it was a DVD, so I purchased it. It ended up being a audio cassette CD combination with a lyrics booklet.

(Hey! my 100th post!)

I have the "Where Magic Lives" and "Walt Disney World/Walt Disney Story" DVDs. I have another called "The Magic of Christmas at WDW." Then are there travel planning DVDs:

WDW: Pre Family
WDW: Family
WDW: Post Family

Is the Disneyland Resort Video Guide on DVD, if so, where did you get it? I never heard of it if it is. I got the free travel planning VHS for Disneyland, but there was no option to get it on DVD.

When I was at disneyland last March I saw a blue covered dvd about Disneyland the park. I didnt get it because they wanted 30$ for it. Ive seen it a couple of times on eBay since, but never for any cheaper than 30. Maybe I will pick it up next month when I am there again :) :D

First the "theme park" section of my Disney DVD collection seemed so complete, but then wdwleesa had to destroy that good feeling by telling us about the "Christmas at WDW" DVD. Seriously wdwleesa : THANKS A LOT for the info !!! :)

But now Maerj makes me feel completely sick : 3 more WDW DVD's I knew nothing about !!! :jawdrop: I won't be able to sleep tonight !!!

Anyway, I guess I made you feel a bit ill as well, Maerj, by telling you about the Disneyland DVD. Well, guess what : I'll be the good guy here and give you a direct link to this product at Mouseshoppe ; they still sell it for $ 36. http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=2021

Don't you be the Villain now, and please HELP me to find those Pre Family, Family and Post Family DVD's...

The DVDs I mentioned were free travel planning DVDs that were available from www.disneyworld.com. In order to get all three of them, you had to fill out the little survey, and you would get the appropriate DVD for your age group and those you would be traveling with. For example, if you told them that you were traveling with children, you got the family version. If you told them you were 70 years old with no kids you got the Post-Family version. I don't know if it is still available from them, but you could give it the website. It doesn't ask you to pick between DVD or VHS, but I read that some people are still getting the DVD. They also had a similar CD-Rom available a few years back, but that doesn't count because its not a DVD, I guess.

Im pretty sure you can purchase them all from mainstreetmegastore.com - the were all available a few months ago...

I have the Christmas and WDW/Walt Disney Story DVD's.

I've heard that "Where The Magic Lives" is just basically rehashed park footage from the WDW/WD Story DVD so I haven't purchased that one yet but if anyone can offer some insight into that disc, it;d be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It is the EXACT same footage. They got rid of the song at the beginning, but that's about it. All the rest of it is identical, no need to rebuy unless you are a completist.

Lion King Parade, Main Street Electrical Parade

A couple of years ago, the Disney Outlet store opened up locally, and my wife got a bunch of stuff, including a PAL tape of the Lion King Parade, which we couldn't see (we don't own a PAL player). We ended up giving it away to a friend from Argentina.

A local library has a NTSC VHS tape of the Electrical Parade which we've borrowed a couple of times.

It seems to me Disney is missing on the market for Park video by not releasing that kind of stuff on DVD or at least not discontinuing the VHS versions.

How about some petitions?

Hello everyone!

A new Magic Kingdom video was released yesterday at Walt Disney World. It features all new footage shot in widescreen and includes special features with hidden Mickey's, Walt footage and a ton of other stuff. I put a link up that shows the new DVD.

Don't confuse it with the 10 year old, beat up DVD and video they've been selling in the black box and I'll let you know when the new Studio, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT videos are out (should be soon)!!

Let me know what you think of it when you see it!

MicFan, I posted about that in the thread for it, but I'll say again that it's awesome, and thanks! :)

I have Where Magic Lives and Magical Gatherings. I didn't see this last one mentioned anywhere. If you don't have it yet, it's a nice one, so check it out! It doesn't come with a DVD case though, eh.

By the way, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one who gets these just for the sake of having them. :)

awall, what do you mean this doesnt come with a keepcase... the case seems to be displayed in the above link, does it not ship in that?

also, are these theme park exclusives ever available at the disney store or only the parks themselves and online e-tailers? mainstreetmegastore doesnt have this listed yet...

if anyone decides to pick this up, please drop some feedback on the content, i'd like to hear more..

thanks for posting.
