On a japanese Disney-McDonalds calendar, from wheree the Brother Bear 2 images recently put online were extracted, we can also have a glimpse of the FOX & the HOUND 2 and the LITTLE MERMAID Dvd Cover...

BUT

... alas the online version is very small : (The F&H2 image is between the 2nd and the 3rd part of the calendar on the right column while the TLM Dvd cover is at the bottom alogn with the Pooh and Lady&theTramp covers)

The Little Mermaid cover looks beautiful from what I can tell! I'm really hyped over the release of the movie and we're 11 months away! :D

Wow, cool thaks KinOO, indeed the cover is small  , but its good to have a sneaky look :P .

Looks kinda weird to me, more or less what i expected, but the shells gone! :D

Wouldn't be suprised if the cover changed though.

I don't think the region 1 cover art for TLM or Lady and the Tramp will be as shown on that calendar. The region 1 cover art for LATT is not a close up, as it shows for this Japanese calendar. The TLM cover doesn't look too bad though, im not too fond of close ups on characters but i like the bottom half which includes (as far as i can see) the minor characters: Ursula, Sebastian, Flounder...
Thanks for posting! Who knows, it could be what's actually used?

From what I can see, I don't care for this TLM cover. It looks too cartoonish, as if it's culled from clipart for the animated TV series and movie. Like others have said, I doubt this will be the final US cover. Thanks for posting. :)

You're welcome,

but i take the bet that this wil be the US cover, it is indeed very cartoony and childish, but this is how the last Platinum editions american covers looked like. This TLM cover is in total adequation with Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Aladdin, Lion King US covers...

I like the cover. They almost always use different covers for Region 2 so the Region 1 cover will most likely be slightly different.

I like the Mermaid cover, but, really, anything is better than the Limited Issue cover  I really like the scheme of the Lady and the Tramp cover too. Hey! They're actually kissing :P

From the tiny glimpse of the cover art, it seems somewhat similar to how I envisioned it would probably be like. Therefore, it pretty much meets my expectations, even if it is a bit small. :P

Also, has anyone noticed the Mickey and the Beanstalk image on the callendar? Could that signal a re-release of some sorts for Fun and Fancy Free? (A lot of the images are from movies already scheduled to get a release next year, so I'm making presumptions from there)

I really like that TLM cover! Even though it's really tiny and I can't see the details and stuff, it looks great!

So right now I am assuming we will have 4 DTVs next year:

Leroy and Stitch
Bambi II
Brother Bear II
Fox and the Hound II

The Little Mermaid: PE artwork looks so small can anyone blow up the picture to look larger?

Thanks for sharing that picture with UD, KinOO.

Maybe McDonald's is going to sell those toys each months.

I noticed that immediately as well! :o I hope it's a signal for a future DVD release. Can anybody help me figure out which movies all the pics are froM? This is what I got so far.

1: Kronk's New Groove
2: Lady and the Tramp
3: Fun and Fancy Free (Mickey and the Beanstalk)
4: Looks like Donald and his nephews in scouts? Is this from a Donald short?
5: Mickey playing the piano. A short?
6: Looks like 4 rats in snow. I'm at a loss here.
7: Pooh's Grand Adventure
8: Disney Princesses
9: Brother Bear 2
10: The Little Mermaid
11: The Fox and the Hound 2
12: Mickey, Donald and Goofy: Christmas snowball?

6, judging by the backgrounds, is without a doubt a screencap of Bambi II.

Edited the number...

Yeah 6 is deffinetly Bambi. It's tough to tell because there's a white squaretangle covering everything. :P

But it's deffenitly a screen cap from Bambi II probably a scene where they're singing. ;)

 Four rats. No, it's Thumper and his sisters with Bambi in the back.

Number 4 is from the short Good Scouts which can be found on the Extreme Adventure Fun DVD (part of the Cartoon Classic line), as well as the first volume of The Chronological Donald. I'm sure Number 5 is a classic Disney short, as a Vintage version of Mickey Mouse playing a grand piano rings a bell. As DisneyFan said, Number 6 is probably Bambi 2, and the Christmas thing from Number 12 is orobably not related to an actual short/feature and probably just a random image to fit in with the Holiday Festivities.

I'm still appalled at the thought of a Fox and the Hound sequel. Well I don't like the idea of a Bambi sequel or a Fox and the Hound sequel but I probably will buy them and enjoy them to a degree because I really like the first movies and the characters but it's like a drug... you keep waving some white powdery drug in front of an addict's face they will go for it. :P

I just hope these sequels won't lessen the originals for me like other DTV movies have.

As for that being a R1 cover to 'The Little Mermaid'... I think it's possible and when I imagined what the cover would look like I thought up something almost exactly like that. (However that doesn't mean I want to see that) Bleh. :p

That last picture on there of Mickey, Donald and Goofy has me hoping that maybe we'll see another classic cartoon character outing but I doubt it. I haven't heard anything for 2006 but then again I never heard about The Three Musketeers until only a half a year before it was released. (sort of, I heard rumours) Haha maybe Mickey's Thrice Upon a Christmas.
