Does anybody like the show Three's Company?

Everyone seems to talk about the Golden Girls, and other shows, but I never hear anyone mention Three's Company. Truly one on the best shows in the 70s, even though I wasn't even born. The 1st 5 seasons were the Best, and it kind of got dull after Chrissy (Suzanne Somers) left. But I still loved the show becuase of the late John Ritter (RIP).

That's cause everyone knows that if you wanna get a monthly check for $50 from the Lukester, you gotta love The Golden Girls and talk about it as much as possible. :P

I'm a fan of Three's Company, but I don't collect the DVDs at the moment(though I do have Season One since it was in Wal-Mart's $5.50 bin). Don Knott's Mr. Furley was probably the most annoying character on the show, right of there next to Cindy. I always preferred the Ropers to him, and never really enjoyed the seasons with Mr. Furley as much as I did the seasons with The Ropers.

I do!

One of the unofficial top 100 questions about the world is: How can people complain about this show being too repetitive(in which alot of people do BTW) but yet nobody complains about "I Love Lucy"? I mean they are the EXACT same show except TC had much better acting and much funnier scripts. But yet everyone complains about TC, but NOBODY complains about I Love Lucy! I DON'T GET IT!!! ILL is so overrated!

Anyway I agree with Escapay, the show went down hill when Mr. Furley came on the show. Don't get me wrong, I love Don Knotts, but he was kinda boring on this show! He was playing the same exact character as Barney! The Ropers episodes, on the other hand, were quite hilarious!

However I probably won't buy the sets anytime soon, because even though I like it, it's not in my top 10 favorite t.v. shows or anything, and you can take the whole "overhear a conversation and think it's sexual related" joke for so long.

I used to watch Three's Company back in the late 70's early 80's. The show went down hill fter Chrissy left and then the Ropers left, even though Don Knotts was funny

Actually, my favorite was that spinoff Three's a Crowd

NO not really. I love the original ,and still find myself quoting it.
Oooh I just thought of one where Chrissy says" its like it was written in the stars" and Jack says "No its like it was written in Chinese, because nobody here understands what you are trying to say!" (something like that) oh thats good stuff.......
but the DVDs are pretty crappy.
Season One was given horrible treatment. I still love it though. I like that they are a little more risque than what was on TV. ( It seems )

I saw Three's Company in the late 80's and early 90's when it was on synication. I thought the show was great not excellent but it was entertaining who doesn't want to live with two sexy women. :P

and sing it with me!
Come and knock on our door
We've been waiting for you
Where the kisses are hers and hers and his
Three's company, too!

Such a catchy tune! :D

Anyways, I like the show! :) Ryan introduced it to me (because of John Ritter), and ever since watching the First Season, I've become sooo interested in the show! :) I ordered Season 5 from DDD ($19.19) to complete Three's Company. I dunno, even though I find airheads annoying, Chrissy's really funny.

I am a big fan of Three's Company. And so is my guy. We have the first two seasons on dvd although there are five out now. We are a little behind. I just love that show. It's classic. I've been watching it since I was four or five. It was still on the air as well as shown as reruns back then. John Ritter was such a great actor. I like the way that all the t.v. shows we once loved to watch are available to own.

I grew up with that show in syndication in the 80's. I really like it but would never buy it on DVD since I've still yet to buy 'All in the Family' on DVD and that comes first.
My sister wants it on DVD so when she gets it I'll just borrow her copies. :)

I'll watch it every once and a while when I see it on TV but I think I've seen every episode pretty much. Every episode I see I get deja vu and realized I probably just dug up more "ancient" memories.

Chrissy vs. Terri

Chrissy was my favourite of the two. Personally though I liked Janet much more than Chrissy so it should be Chrissy vs. Janet.

The Ropers vs. Mr. Furley

I liked both a lot and it's hard to choose a favourite. Well maybe Mr. Furley would win simply because Don Knotts is one of the best out there!

Not really. But every now and then I watch it, I don't know why. John Ritter was a very good physical comedian for his time.

It's a pretty funny show, particularly in the Suzanne days. The acting and scripts don't even come close to "I Love Lucy" - not in its best episode and "Lucy"'s worst, but still an enjoyable show. I don't see myself collecting season sets anytime soon, but I'll watch it when comes on TV. I'd sooner buy a documentary on what was going on behind the scenes, which is very interesting.

What we really need is "Step by Step" on DVD.

Did you get a TVshow...E-Mail about that show yet? I received a very cryptic one about the possibility of a "Best Of" package/disc. But nothing concrete on that or the future possibility of season sets. I don't know why any studio would do a Best-Of... No one's going to buy for instance the Designing Women Best Of with only 4 or 5 episodes when what they really want are the full seasons. Who's got that much money to throw away?

Yeah, I did get that, and one saying the very same thing about Family Matters (which occupies the top spot on my Most Wanted Unreleased TV Shows on DVD list). It doesn't make any sense to me either.

Six episodes. It was a midseason show on ABC, I think it debuted April 1977.
