Ernest Goes to Splash Mountain!!

Hey everybody. So, many of you may be aware of this, but I just learned that in 1989 a TV movie came out called Ernest Goes to Splash Mountain. It only came out on VHS, as far as I can tell. All the information I can gather is just that he goes to the park, rides it a few times, and possibly tried to operate it. There is very little information available. Anyway, do any of you know where (other than ebay or amazon) I can find a copy of this? And if you own it, is it good? I'm extremely curious. Thanks a ton!

It was a tv special for the opening of Splash Mountain. It was not a film. also it has never been on VHS OR DVD.

"Ernest Goes to Splash Mt." is one of the crown jewels of my VHS colection. It runs a little shy of 30 mins. and was aired on Disney Channel and local stations to promote the opening of Spalsh Mt.

The special consists of filmed segments of Ernest, that are very similar to his famous commercials, and then there are video taped segments of a fake newscast as they get ready to open SM.

I forget if it's at WDW or DL, but I recall that more than one cast member from Not Necessarily The News is in it!

There is another Ernest/Disney segment in the Disneyland 35th Anniversary Celebration TV Special.

If it's from 1989, it's from Disneyland. Splash Mountain at WDW didn't open until 1992.
