It's for a UK programme, but the nominees you can vote for include a lot of Disney films:

Cinderella
Jungle Book
The Lion King
Mary Poppins
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Sadly Mary Poppins is on, but no Bedknobs and Broomsticks. No Newsies. No Pete's Dragon either.

Other none Disney notes:

Buffy: Once More With Feeling is on the list, but no Xena: The Bitter Suite (which I think is a much better example of TV Fantasy series does a musical - plus Xena did it first!)

No listing for Blues Brothers 2000 either, which while I agree it was not a better film than the original Blues Brothers (which is on the nominees list)was cleearly a better Musical.

No True Stories either. Or Spinal Tap. I suppose the latter is debateable, but the former most definitly is a musical.

Personally I'm glad some of the lesser known and not so conventional musicals are included: Dancer in the Dark (superb film), Hedwig and the Angry Itch (no, its nothing to do with Owls) and 8 Mile are included.

Musicals not in the list of nominees can still be voted for, but you need to ring up and pay a premium rate number. So I wouldn't bother (especially if you are not in the UK!)

If anyone want's to know my votes, they are:

The Blues Brothers
Dancer In The Dark
Fame
Hedwig and the Angry Itch
Joeseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Little Shop of Horrors
Moulin Rouge! (of course)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (of course)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (of course)
West Side Story

I think it's clear from that what my top three are!

Oooooooh where's Ariel? And Newsies? (Finally saw it this weekend)

I voted for:

The Lion King
Willy Wonka
Mary Poppins
Oliver!
Muppets Take Manhattan
Blues Brothers
Cinderella
The Jungle Book
Wizard of Oz
Little Shop of Horrors

Would have voted for Snow White, but it's probably a lock and the songs aren't my favorite.

You know, I'm osmeone who claims to hate musicals, but looking at this this, half of my fave films are there :P

I voted for:

- The Blues Brothers (wore the tape out before I got the DVD)
- Cabaret (saw a theatrical re-release and loved it since)
- Grease (any movie with that many black Converse high-tops is ok in my book)
- The Lion King (not so much for the music, but the film as a whole is great)
- Moulin Rouge (Duh!)
- The Nightmare Before Christmas (What's this? What's this?)
- On The Town (Gene Kelly just rocks)
- Singin' In The Rain (Ditto. Best. Musical. Ever.)
- Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (Ok, sentimental 'Disney' vote)
- The Wizard Of Oz (One of my earliest film memories)

Gentelmen Perfer Blondes
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (either this one or the wizard of oz will win)
Mary Poppins
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Theres No Bussiness like Show Bussiness (Marilyn Monroe is my god).

I'm shocked Beauty and the Beast isn't there is probably Disneys best musical.
