I couldn't find a thread for this movie so if there is one already I apologize.

Fox & The Hound II sounds like a pretty good movie. I do get tired of all the sequels though, is Disney really out of ideas for animation?

I will see this movie though because Reba McEntire is singing a song for the movie.

Anyone have more info on the movie?

This is all we have for now.

Another pointless sequel! And I thought the first one was bad enough!

This is really one Disney movie that should never have a sequel. Any sequel would ruin the original's beautiful bittersweet ending.

The original is my favorite Disney movie so I can't wait to see how they extend it.

Well they already have ruined half of the classics beautiful ending. They may as well destory the rest........
After they do all the classics im sure we will get Cinderella III in CGI. :P

The thing is Disney are starting to destroy everything they achieved over the years.......they churn out a new sequel every 3/4 months....

 Cheeaaa, I know that feeling too. ;)

That movie pretty much ended itself, what are they going to do next? It's rediculous. Disney must be desperate or something. That's the only reason why they would do such a thing. In other words we want originality!!! That's what made all of these other Disney movies so great. That and the animation. And you know it's not like they're going to get Kurt Russel and Mickey Rooney to play the parts, the voices are going to be different. It's just not going to be The Fox and The Hound I grew up with. Same thing with Bambi II. And let me just say this the moment they turn Bambi into CGI I'm going to loose faith in Disney forever. It's bad enough that they fixed the glitches! errrrrr!!! :x

I know lots of little kids that love the sequels Disney makes, while those of us who grew up with them don't like them, that doesn't mean they aren't magical for the new generation. IMO.

This would be a more interesting plot. Tod is actually a zombie and he eats coppers brains and he turns into a zombie.

It would be twice as better than that other plot. Man... they should just leave the classics alone... just leave them *ALONE*!!!

Most likely, a sequel will go like this:

Tod and the lady fox will have a son, who will eventually meet up with a new hunting dog that Amos Slade will have bought. The Tod Jr. and the new Copper will have all the fun their first-movie counterparts had, and Copper will be the new Chief, since the old Chief is old and he'll die so you don't need to see him in the movie. All the while, we're scratching our heads as to how this dreck is supposed to be related to the first movie, as it will seem like another "(insert a Disney Animated Classic): The Next Generation" that ultimately ends with the younger one and the older one understanding each other a bit better.

I fear for the future, when this film is considered gold compared to what other horrible sequel will follow in years to come...

actually, Cinderella III is the australian studio's last project. so at least for now Cinderella III will be Disney's last hand animated movie overall. that kinda makes me sad...

I don't really see a point in creating a sequel to this movie. not that this hasn't stopped them before, but they could easily make a better sequel for a movie or sequel that actually did leave a somewhat open ending. On top of that even though The Fox and the Hound is a great movie, it's not exactly one thats well known and kids really connect to, so i don't understand why disney would make this sequel to entertain kids (or make a lot of money).

i'm begining to wonder if disney makes the sequels more for promotions for the original films. I mean they usually release a edition of the original sometime near the release of the sequel and it's like they are getting the word out but making money at the same time. i wonder if that makes any sense.

i think i could almost guarantee a special edition release of The Fox and the Hound either a few months before or after the sequel.

I doubt enough people even care that there's a sequel being made. The only reason Snow White 2 was canceled was because A HECK OF A LOT OF PEOPLE were against it. Not enough will be behind Fox and the Hound to warrant the sequel being shelved.

And how, exactly, does making a sequel ruin the original? It doesn't make the original any less of a movie, it doesn't ruin the experience of having watched the movie, it doesn't change your memories of the movie. If someone doesn't like the sequel, they don't have to watch it. Lord knows the last time I watched Superman III or Grease 2.

So go on, Disney, make those sequels! It's not like I'll be buying them anyway. (And yet I have Lady and the Tramp II...)

You`re right Escapay, anyone is making us watch this sequels n_n

the bad part is, at least on this side of the river, than the studios are very alike to Scrooge Mc Duck and they rather like to re-dub the original movies and destroy a really nice work instead of paying what is fairly good for the original dubbers, because they doesn`t look for a good work, but cheapest.

A lot of people were against a sequel... o excuse me a midquel of Bambi and it's being made. Makes you think doesn't it, I guess not enough people complained about it or they didn't care which is more reasonable.
