Speaking of "A Walt Disney Christmas", there was also a TV special back in 1982 called "A Disney Christmas Gift". It features cartoons mixed with a holiday theme as well as scenes from animated feature films:
1. "Once Upon a Wintertime" (from "Melody Time")
2. "Pluto's Christmas Tree"
3. "The Clock Watcher"
4. "Donald's Snow Fight"
5. "The Night Before Christmas"
All these cartoons plus scenes from "Cinderella", "Peter Pan", "Bambi" and "Sword In the Stone"
"A Disney Christmas Gift"

I do remember that special but I have on DVD-R mixed with some of the other Christmas specials. But I also remember there was a scene from "Cinderella" (the ones that I have on DVD recently as a PE) in which the Fairy Godmother decided to go to the ball after a change from being a "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" for examples a pumpkin into a coach, a torn dress turned into a gown and all other things until Cinderella leaves for the ball and there was a canned voice says "Merry Christmas Cinderella!". Those scenes from that movie was long before it was part of the Platinum Edition DVD since it came out as early as last month.
I have this special on VHS and used to watch it frequently when I was younger. The scenes from Disney animated films were:
* Thumper teaching Bambi how to ice skate, which fits the winter theme.
* The Bibbidi Bobbibi Boo sequence from Cinderella. As said in the last post, a dubbed line was added at the end of the scene as an excuse to make it Christmasy.
* I *THINK* Peter Pan's clip was Peter teaching the children to fly, which was probably used because of the, "think of Christmas, think of snow, think of sleigh bells, off you go" lyrics.
* Arthur pulling out the sword from the stone, which happened to be on Christmas day.
I remember there being interstitials in between each segment involving vintage Disney toys set to narration. Too bad Disney specials nowadays lack their namesake. Heck, The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC feels more Disney than the entire Disney Channel does as a whole.

Yes, I know! This clip from "Cinderella" was non-PE and the film wasn't really restored until the Platinum Edition came out on DVD recently. I do notice that the dubbed line added at the end of the segment to sound more Christmassy was removed in the restored print until the DVD was released.Disneykid wrote:* The Bibbidi Bobbibi Boo sequence from Cinderella.
