The Adventures of Spin & Marty

“The Adventures of Spin and Marty” ran on Walt’s original The Mickey Mouse Club television program. This beloved series follows two boys who meet at a summer boys ranch and share adventures together. Marty Markham (David Stollery) is a wealthy city kid who meets Spin Evans (Tim Considine), the most popular camper from the previous summer. The two don’t get along at first, but over twenty-five exciting episodes and many escapades, the boys become friends. The series also starred Harry Carey, Jr., Roy Barcroft and J. Pat O’Malley.

Elfego Baca • The Swamp Fox - Legendary Heroes

Inspired by true life heroes, these are two of Walt’s most exciting television shows, ELFEGO BACA and THE SWAMP FOX. Elfego Baca is a late-19th century gunfighter (Robert Loggia) in the old west who changes his ways to become sheriff and then a lawyer. Elfego deals with rampaging cowboys, outlaws and more in this exciting series about law and order on the frontier. The Swamp Fox stars Leslie Nielsen (who starred in the classic film “Forbidden Planet,” and would later become famous for the “Airplane” and “Naked Gun” movies) as Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion. This patriot fought the British using unusual methods, and became known as “The Swamp Fox.” In this superb series, Marion matches wits with the Tories in a story of adventure and action.

Yeah I'm just getting Donald Volume 2 also. When do we find out how many they're making of each tin? I'm just curious.

Not that it affects my buying decision, though - I was never in doubt about getting them all anyway.

Again the Treasures will be among my most important DVD purchases of the year - and the most important Disney DVDs.

Call me stupid but is that the short of the two giants that cut down the trees? If so omg, i remember seeing that on the Disney Channel like 10 years ago.......

Timon/Pumbafan, I don't think that you have your facts correct. Tim Burton did "Nightmare Before Christmas" and someone else did "James and the Giant Peach". "Noah's Ark" was done before stop animation was even thought of.........many, many years ago. Time has passed and the production time has been cut down..........they spent as much time on this 8-minute short as they did on the whole "Nightmare" thing.

1. "James and the Giant Peach" was also produced by Tim Burton, it's just not as remembered today as "Nightmare" is.

2. Just because Tim Burton made these films(or at least produced them) does not change the fact that Disney distributed them(or at least Touchstone distributed "Nightmare" but same thing).

3. I'm a bit confused when you say, "Noah's Ark' was done before stop animation was even thought of..." Noah's Ark was stop-motion animation so therefor I don't see how it could be made before "stop-motion" was even "thought of". Can you please explain to me what you said. Thank you!

Timon - yes I know James and the Giant Peach/Nightmare are stop motion. But they come from a totally different time period. When I said Disney I was more referring to the person than the conglomerate.

I love these dvd's! I can't wait!

Do we know yet how the shorts on the Specials set will be split between the disks? I'm assuming chronologically, but I could be wrong.

Also, are there any shorts other than Der Fuhrer's Face that would belong in the "From the Vault" menu on The Chronological Donald V2?

I wish there would be one special volume in the Treasures series and for me that would be some Christmas episodes from the Disneyland tv-show. Won't happen, though...
