To upgrade or not to upgrade - that is the question

I own The Princess Bride and Sleepless in Seattle and have been debating on whether to upgrade to the Special Edition and the 10th Anniversary Edition, respectively. Are they really worth it?

You definitely want the SE of Princess Bride. The commentary alone makes it worth the double dip. However, the new anamorphic image and short documentary make it a must have.

I second what Tom said......definitely get The Princess Bride SE......passing on Sleepless in Seattle is no big deal.

So, Yes to the Princess Bride upgrade and No to Sleepless in Seattle. I'm guessing that the quality of the movie in both editions is about the same.

Thanks for the info. :D

Just to add a bit... 'The Princess Bride' SE is pretty cheap right now too. Most MGM mobies are going for $9.99 or less in Canada.

(The Princess Bride beats Sleepless in Seattle any day!)

Absolutely, Princess Bride is one of the greatest movies of all time. Don't mind Sleepless in Seattle but it can not hold a candle to Sleepless in Seattle.

Which version of Sleepless in Seattle do you have though? Because the 10th Anniversary Edition is simply the SE with new coverart.

Definitely agree with everyone about upgrading to Princess Bride SE. And the best part is, since you own the old barebones, put the booklet from it into the SE, because the SE had no inserts (as do all MGM dvds now).

I have the Special Edition of Sleepless in Seattle. I do wish it had outtakes, because I'm sure there were some and they would be funny.
