Ashitaka is my favorite, followed by Sheeta.

My favorite group of characters would have to be the racoons from Pom Poko. :D

By the way Henski, love your new siggy!! :)

The boy from Princess Mononoke or the pregnant woman from Kiki's Delivery Service. I can't ever remember the names.

Where the heck did you get that from?

My favorite is Chihiro (seeing the only Ghibli movie I have seen is Spirited Away)

Seita is my favorite. He's detrimentally flawed, which is probably what draws me to him. His endearment to his sister is heartbreaking. He does his best to overcome his own situation, but in the end, difficulties overcome him. By know way a weak or anemic character, but one of personal strength and dignity. :)

Oh, yeah, and who's the boy from Spirited Away again? He's cool, too.

Wow. This is a difficult choice:

#1: Howl
#2: Totoro
#3: Kiki
#4: Porco Rosso
#5: Nauiscaa

After reading Howl's Moving Castle, I was rather disappointed with Sophie, Michael and Howl's characterizations in the movie. The onle one improved upon was the Witch of the Waste. So, my top five would probably be:

1. The Witch of the Waste from Howl's Moving Castle
2. Haku from Spirited Away
3. Yubaba from Spirited Away
4. Prince Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke
5. Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart

Of the ones I've seen my favorite would be the cat with the top hat and cane from The Cat Returns. I can't remember his name.

Somebody needs to make a Studio Ghibli fighting game for the Nintendo Wii. I would spend way too much time playing that.

I really have not seen very many of the movies, but out of the few I have seen I would have to say probably Sophie (Howl's Moving Castle), Totoro, and Mei (My Neighbor Totoro). But this may change when I see more or maybe if I read the book for Howl.

Whoa, this is difficult! The first one that came to mind was Kiki, so honourable mentions for her ;)
I think I'd have to go with No-Face, though Yubabba is absolutely terrific... The there Calcifer, Howl, Sophie, Jiji, Porco, The Baron, Shizuku, Ashitaka, Mononoke, the Great Spirit of the Forest...
Nope, too hard. I'm going with No-Face now, but that'll change in about three minutes.

I actually forgot about Turnip Head from Howl's Moving Castle. Maybe he is not the most important character, but I loved him in the movie!! His smile was great.

The transformed Boh and weird crow-ish bird from Sen to Chihiro. There's something about a very tiny bird carrying around a very large mouse that makes me laugh.
