Pocahontas question

Hey, I have a question about a Disney video release...
I KNOW that in 1996 Pocahontas was released to video as a Masterpiece Collection print, but I heard from a friend of mine that HIS "Masterpiece Collection" print of Pocahontas features the late 80s/early 90s Walt Disney CLASSICS logo! (It only appears on the video program itself and not on the cover art.) Was there an editing mistake or something, or is that certain "Masterpiece" print of Pocahontas a really rare edition?
