I'm just gonna wait for an official trailer to be released elsewhere so I don't feel like crashing my computer at the moment. :P

There's a trailer on the Region 2 DVD of The Jungle Book 2.

Here are some new AVI trailers that didn't crash my computer:

7.0 MB AVI
http://lionking.org/~elfasi/trailers/Li ... -small.avi

16.9 MB AVI
http://lionking.org/~elfasi/trailers/Li ... railer.avi

You will need Divx 5.1 to view it.

http://www.divx.com

Ad-free version:
http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX51Bundle.exe

Caution: If you attempt to play the video files below without an MP3 wave audio CODEC installed, Windows may crash. Windows Media Player my quit unexpectedly when you try to play it. Other media players may hang or crash. Should you choose to delete the video, use the MS-DOS prompt.

Notice to Windows 95 users: The installer for the Divx player may crash on Windows 95. Don't worry, the main installation program will install the AVI CODEC correctly. I suggest that you deselect the option for installing the player.

Playing either video may crash the Windows 95 ActiveX Player. Instead, use the Windows Media Player under Start -> Accessories -> Multimedia Tools. I don't know if these problems will occur on Windows 98 or ME. Sorry.

In America, The Lion King 1 1/2 this is the official title as listed and endorsed by Disney for the US run and merchandise.

Elsewhere, the same movie is known as The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata.

Hmmm...guess I'll wait for a better link. I have Divx 5.1 but don't want to deal with the possibilities of crashing my system.

I can take screengrabs, but I don't have a place to post them. I can e-mail a couple to someone so that they can host it. Does anyone want to volunteer some webspace?

The trailer shows scenes from the original film. Unfortunately Disney isn't showing scenes from The Lion King 1 1/2 now. I believe it's too early to do so. The only thing that's new is the Lion King 3 logo. The film will be about The Lion King from Timon and Pumbaa's point of view. Also, the Lion King 1 1/2 will begin at a time before Simba's presentation during the begining of the first film.

I'll try to write another synopsis soon.

Even though I enabled the MP3 ACM CODEC, the AVI files won't play correctly. :( I'm going to wait for Disney to release the offical trailers on their website. I'll try to post some screenshots on my page soon.

Ok, I tanked and downloaded the AVI preview...And it worked for me. Picture and sound were great, and my computer didn't crash. Odd that it's not working for some people...

Funny...... why does it say in the preview Lion King 3? shouldn't it be 1 1/2? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

I mean.... if the preview is official.... then the name should be too, right?

As our Lion King expert Starion said, for the rest of the world the official name is The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata

The rest of the world??? what's that supposed to mean???? :? :?

You're telling me that they're going to change the opening title of the movie in certain parts of the world to "Lion King 3"?!

That doesn't make any sense in any respect!!

Yes, that is correct. It also doesn't make any sense. :?

The rest of the world means everywhere except North America (and one would assume Canada).

Why not? They changed the opening titles of Sleeping Beauty to Le Belle Au Bois Dormant in France. They changed the title of Alantis:The Lost Empire to Atlantide: L'Empire Perdu in France as well. Lot's of other localisation has been done for all sorts of languages.

Why not change it to The Lion King 3 for English speaking non-US countries? It's no big deal and probably means changing less than 30 seconds of film (plus I bet the title is applied in post production).

 Oh come on!!! that's just because it's a different language! obviously their not going to leave the same title! it wouldn't make sense!!!

What's the point? :? what does anyone get out of it? :? if anything, it just makes it less appealing to watch.... i mean.... how often do you hear a sequel with the title "1 1/2"?! it's exciting!
