I Think it's so awesome that Disney has started releasing DuckTales & Chip & Dale on DVD and with the talk of other shows (The Little Mermaid, That's So Raven, Even Stevens & Mighty Ducks etc) wouldn’t it be great if Disney put out a few other shows that have been screaming for a DVD release. Two of the shows mentioned in the title are from animation packages that Disney now owns.
The Tick was a great show that aired on Fox Kids eleven years ago. It was a funny show about a superhero that sometimes wasn't the brightest bulb who protected the City from evil with his trusty sidekick Arthur. This show has legions of fans and I'm always surprised how many people come out of the woodwork when a topic is started about this coming on DVD. It would be wonderful if Disney finally released this, It's one of the cartoons in that long list that's well overdue for a DVD.
Glory Days is a show that was created by Dawson's Creek's Kevin Williamson for the WB in 2002. It was about a writer who after writing a best seller about his hometown's dirty secrets returns home when he has writer's block and now must face everyone again. He joins his family working for the local paper and starts to uncover some of the town's secrets. This was a really cool show and it would be great to have a complete series of it. I'm pretty sure Disney owns this but not completely.
*EDIT* I can't believe I forgot about this one. Mad Jack The Pirate was another Fox Kids cartoon that was about a pirate whose life was only meaningful if he had treasure. It was pretty hilarious and was created by Bill Kopp who did The Eek the Cat show. This show would be perfect to tie in with The Pirates of the Caribbean movie next summer. It just would be great to own this great show on DVD. It was one of my favourites at the time.
Lastly comes Dino-Riders which was a cartoon that came out in the end of the eighties that was about two groups (The Valorians who were good and The Rulons who were evil) who were battling with each other were then sent back in time to the Prehistoric Age where they now use the help of Dinosaurs to aid in the battle. It was a pretty cool show that had an amazing toyline back in the day. It would be awesome if this came out it's pretty obscure for an eighties cartoon but was really cool and would be nice to have on DVD.[/b]
