Do I really need it?

I can't decide if I
really need the new Sleeping Beauty Deluxe Collector's Edition or not. I have the Special Edition already. Is the Collector's Edition any different? What to do, what to do, what to do.
I've already decided to go for the 2 disc set of Lion King as it's not high on my list of 'must haves' so I don't see the point in forking out more dosh for the collectors set ....and there's so many more Disney dvd's that I need for my collection.
So may dvd's, so little money!

Dammit, my whole reply just vanished.
Anyway, I'm not sure if you're referring to the R2 French/UK release as the Deluxe Collector's Edition.
If you're only going to buy one Sleeping Beauty DVD, I'd go with the Region 1 release, unless you're a DTS fanatic. Only advantage R2 offers is no Pan & Scan transfer and a DTS track instead. Whereas R1 has a commentary, plus a game and music video.
Not really worth buying twice, in my opinion. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, though.

DTS probably won't help much on a film made so long before DTS was invented, so I would definitly go for the Region 1 DVD, which (from the sound of it) has all of the features from the R2 release plus a really great commentary. The fullscreen version of the film can be an advantage too, in case you ever have to use it to help friends see the light about widescreen. I did a speech for speech class on WS vs. P&S and I only wish I had the Sleeping Beauty DVD then so I could show them how horribly it is destroyed in 1.33:1.

You're wrong Jake, DTS does help on Sleeping Beauty since it was recorded in Stereo-Phonic as the newly 5.1 is great. also R2 doesn't get the Trailers.
