I was bored and looking for new movie trailers when I saw this one! It looks really good and I can't wait to see it. It comes to theatres August 26th. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger seem like they will add a lot of humor to the movie. I will definetly be seeing this one.

What about you guys? Do you think this film will be a success? Are you going to see it?

Here is the new trailer link!

I don't think it'll be that much of a success (Terry Gilliam's films tend to be too strange to tap in with the general public), but I am looking forward to it. As a huge fan of Grimm's fairy tales, I'm hoping they incorporate a lot of classic fairy tale moments that would "inspire" the brothers to write their famous stories. From the looks of it, it seems like elements from Red Riding Hood, The Frog Prince, and Rapunzel are in it, and Monica Belucci's queen character reminds me of the queen from Snow White (if I remember correctly, in the original fairy tale, she was never actually beautiful; she made a deal with the devil or something to look the way she did, and she returned to her true state once she smashed her mirror in fury when finding out Snow got married). Some of the jokes in the trailer are kinda cheesy, but it looks like a fun film, all the same. I really hope we see some sort of nod to Cinderella since that's my favorite of the Grimm fairy tales.

Hi,

Looks great, but when is the origional Brothers Grimm movie going to come out on dvd, that had Dean Jones, as one of the Brothers Grimm.

I loved that movie, I want to see it get a dvd release. I hope that whatever studio owns the right to that movie, releases it on dvd soon. It is one of the best movies ever made.

It looks weird. I think they'll just paste a bunch of classic fairytales together and call it a "true" story. When it's actually just a legend.

Anyway I might rent it if I do see it, but I won't need to see it at a theater!

Well, considering all of the flashy CGI creations in the trailer, I seriously doubt the filmmakers are trying to pass this off as truth, but more of a "what if?" type of deal.

True, but I'd rather see a film about the real Brothers Grimm and make it a film like Finding Neverland! I personally like that idea better than some adventure story!

From DVDAnswers.com

Dimension Home Video has sent over early artwork for The Brothers Grimm which stars Matt Damon and Heath Ledger. The disc will be available to own from the 20th December this year, and should set you back around $29.99 in total. I'm afraid Dimension has yet to reveal the specs for this one, but we'll bring you the full details very shortly. For now though, here's our first look at the official artwork:

There was a VERY funny joke about this on E!'s The Soup. Something like: "Matt Damon announced his engagement to girlfriend (something exotic, I don't recall / and on date...I don't remember when). He wanted to find a quiet, empty, secluded place best suited for the occasion... A screening of The Brothers Grimm"

I liked it!(the cover, not the joke)
