With the huge 50% off sale going on, I really wanted to order Bambi. But I'm concerned if it will have a slipcover. Has anyone ordered a copy of Bambi recently and if so, did it come with a cover?

A while ago I ordered Mary Poppins and Finding Nemo (this was March maybe?) and MP came with a slipcover, FN didn't. I think it all depends on how new it is and if they have been selling well enough (ie you can find Aladdin with slipcovers in most stores and Bambi doesn't.. go figure). I'd say take a chance and then order the slipcover from customer service if you really want one. I think the price is incredible for Bambi no matter the condition. (ie slipcover or no slipcover)

Well, first off, thank you for being the first and only person to reply to my post.

I was kind of in the same boat about a year ago. I ordered Alice in Wonderland and A Bug's Life and AiW came with a slipcover and ABL did not. So I figure, in the stores Bambi can rarely be found with a slipcover and it has been on the shelf since March; chances are it won't come with one.

I think you are right though. No doubt this is an awesome price and I should take the chance. I'll just order the slipcover through Customer Service. How do I do that by the way?

I've never done it before... but I got these instructions from the "Definitive Slipcover List" thread.

If you would like a slipcover for a DVD that came with one, but you did not recieve one because you purchased the DVD later (or for whatever other reason), DISNEY WILL USUALLY SHIP ONE TO YOU if you call them and ask nicely (subject to them having the slipcover around, of course.) If you need to contact Walt Disney Home Entertainment Consumer Relations for a slipcover, or for any other reason (including if you are technical difficulties with a Disney DVD), they can be reached at 1-800-723-4763 (in the United States) or 1-888-877-2843 (in Canada.)

Hope you get one!! I've never gotten around to ordering one from customer service. If I wanted all of the slipcovers I'd need to order: Bug's Life CE, Alice in Wonderland ME, Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean and the Incredibles (bought it used). But word on the street is that you're limited to three ordered slipcovers... but some have argued that they have gotten more than that from calling different times. Depends on the CM you get when you call! Goodluck!!

Like I said, I only order Disney movies that come with slipcovers, cause they look nicer on the shelf, so I just call customer service and Bonnie will assist you

If you order Little Mermaid right now off DMC, does it come with the slipcover?

Seeing that it's new to the club, it should.

I got mine yesterday and it had a slipcover.

I was wondering the same, I just ordered it today from DMC and hope it has the slipcover. I already called Buena Vista for 2 different slip covers and they are sticklers (sp?) for only giving 5 a lifetime!
