This is the best list I've seen so far, I hope this is the one the rest of the world uses.

Disney Netherlands says the Platinum Edition in Netherlands will be:
2003:
Lion King

2004:
Aladdin

2005:
Bambi
Cindrella

2006+:
Disney Netherlands didn't announce it yet.

So I think this new list is the new worldwide list!! :)

Yes!
While it means I won't be buying Aladdin from France to get it early, it does seem like a more 'global' list than some of the others.
If it holds true, 2005 will be great with 2 previously unreleased discs!

I hope the USA takes this GREAT List down! :)

I just want Cinderella and The Little Mermaid sooner!

I hope the US doesn't use that list! I don't like it and it doesn't make sense from a business stand point... for the rest of the world maybe, but not the US.

Little Mermaid should be out 2005 coinciding with an I - Max release.

Cinderella (as much as I want it now) should come out october 2006 since this is a big release and has not been released yet, they should stretch out the titles that have not yet been released...

and going on what I said above... Bambi should be out october 2007, although this does seem more like a spring release type movie, but anyway...

and the other 3 JB, LATT, and 101D should all fall into the spring slots since they have already been released to dvd and have no reason to be released to I - Max...

Do you realize how offensive that sounds?

Personally think none of these various calendars holds any real weight. Not because I doubt the honesty or sources of the people who post them - I just doubt the honesty of Disney :)

Seriously, what do we know about Disney releases to date? The Gold collection was supposed to be a 'classic release each month' but the branding or the schedule didn't last long enough to release all the films.

Then we have the Platinum editions, which were supposed to be every year, then twice a year, then twice a year starting in 2005.

Even if one of these calendars is correct, it will probably change in the next 6 - 12 months.

Just relax and don't worry about it. They will come when they come.
