If any of you guys are interested and are willing to help me out by signing and sharing this all over the internet, I have a petition I just made that I hope you can sign and share all over social media. It's the petition to Bob Iger of Disney and SAG-AFTRA to grant an interim agreement for Walt Disney Animation Studios' Wish so the film can be properly marketed by having its cast of actors & actresses promote the movie around the world -
https://chng.it/PZMfJbDqrM via Change.org.
Would you guys please sign my petition? I really don't want this film and I need all the help I can get or find to make sure it can be a hit through this petition being signed, now more than ever.
Why would they give a interim agreement to a 200M budget IP movie that will make tons in merchandising and Disney Land money.
They only give interim agreement to small indie movies, not a potencial Frozen level movie xdddd
You should relax and stop being so annoying about Wish, we all want to see this movie but your level of messages here and Twitter are very annoying

I'm betting the Wish trailer will drop by this Monday cause the trailer has already been approved and has been leaked in September 6th so I don't see why they would wait another week to drop it.

It doesn’t matter anyway. SAG just reportedly stopped all future interim agreements anyway.
Also, it’s hard for me to relax when Disney is, so far, treating original animation like it is the modern-day bastard step-child of their company, even after Elemental legged out so well domestically, and I say that because Bob Iger didn’t give any quotes congratulating Elemental for legging out so long in the press release on The Walt Disney Company’s website, a sign to me that he doesn’t care about original animation just like Chapek didn’t.
So, I’ll relax when I see Disney treat Wish like it’s THE movie of their 100th Anniversary slate that’s THE big holiday event to check out in theaters and not wait to see on Disney+.

If they drop it on Monday, it should be during Monday Night Football on ESPN/ABC and not in the morning during Good Morning America as many people feel that is a sign of Disney botching up the film’s marketing by airing it on a daytime morning show that barely anyone watches anymore.

We've all had our favorite movies that did not get the attention we were hoping for from studios. Who knows why that happens? But life goes on. There's no need to burden oneself with doing the work that is done more effectively with the reach and resources of studio heads.
Take some comfort that a movie's cultural impact does not begin or end with the promotional campaign.

Closer look at some details from the Asha doll, first look at a Dahlia plush and some more merch:

Speaking of Dahlia, apart from the references to Doc, like the glasses or the color scheme, they also seem to have taken some inspiration from Flora, Fauna and Merryweather as peasants for her design and outfit, don't you guys think?

I wonder if perhaps, if she travels anywhere, it's through various wish orbs (perhaps she goes inside them and they are their own imagined "world" in a way).
Oh, that hadn't occurred to me. Who knows, perhaps that's what she does. I wonder what those worlds would look like. She could also travel thanks to Magnifico's magic book.
When the Teens break into Magnifico's castle, perhaps that's what they're after. Although, maybe the latter would be too similar to the book in the
Beauty and the Beast remake.

Now that I’ve seen more of Dahlia, does anyone know if she’s supposed to be Asian? And with the cane she’s using, disabled? (Sorry, if that word is no longer PC) And to my eye, she looks a bit portly, as if she could be a distant cousin to the good fairies she’s pictured next to.
If she’s a lesbian, well, that’s 4 diversity boxes checked!

A woke quadfecta! Congratulations, Disney !
Just curious...

I saw this posted at a Facebook group and many people there thought it was a doll of Isabela from Encanto.

Yes, she's a plus-sized, disabled Asian woman. I doubt she's a lesbian though. The only characters that are rumored to be LGBT are the Grumpy-inspired Teen and the Star both of whom are supposed to be non-binary/genderfluid. Dahlia has a horrible design, especially for a character who is supposed to be the protagonist's best friend. The hairstyle, the glasses and the frumpy-looking outfit are simply awful. I think they should have made the Black female Teen her best friend. She has a better design and it would have been a good opportunity to introduce a Black female best friend to the lead, something that a lot of people wanted but didn't get with The Princess and the Frog. It's bad enough we have two Black princesses already, but still no Black prince.

Where was that said about the Grumpy-inspired teen? I know Grace Randolph said Star was non-binary, but where was that said about the Grumpy-inspired teen.

Looks like no new trailer tomorrow either or Disney would’ve said so on social media by now.
Guess we’re waiting til Wednesday or Thursday for a drop on Good Morning America

I agree that Dahlia is boring (and why her name isn't Dalia without the H if it's spain?) And I would have made the black girl or the brown girl her best friend
But Dahlia is clearly the best friend because the director of the movie is east asian so she' there to represent her (and from what I've seen Disney Animation is 99% white men and east asian women, for some reason there's no other groups working there)
Also with the toys in Madrid, I hope the marketing campaign is bigger in spain than with other disney movies, Encanto had a big campaign in Colombia
They should get someone like Nia Correia (afro-spanish singer) to do Asha voice, or Berta Vazquez (famous actress) who sings and already has experience with animated movies (Big Foot)
The voice in English for Amaya and Asha grandparent (and the rest of characters) should be people like Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, Javier Bardem and other popular Spanish actors, literally Banderas has experience with voice acting, he would be a more logical King Magnifico

I didn't think she was Asian, but maybe she is. The eyes are so big and round in animation that it's difficult to tell just based on that. I guess we'll know for sure when her voice actress is announced since they usually tend to match the character's ethnicity. As for her design, it's not particularly interesting to me, but it's not worse than that of the other Teens, in my opinion.

Grace Randolph just said she had heard there would be a non-binary or genderfluid character in the film. She didn't know who it was, but suspected it could be Star. Some people think that character could be the Grumpy-inspired teen instead, because he or she seems to have a bit of an androgynous look, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

It's true; it should be just Dalia. Though, not even that would be accurate. I read on Wikipedia that Dahlia is originally the name of a flower which was named like that in honor of Swedish botanist Anders Dahl in 1791, so the name didn't even exist back when
Wish is supposed to take place.

Oh, Antonio Banderas would've been a great Magnifico! I like Chris Pine, but it's a shame they didn't cast a Spanish actor for the role. Hopefully, some of the other characters is voiced by someone from Spain, like you said. I doubt Javier Bardem is part of the cast since he was already in
The Little Mermaid, but yes, perhaps Penélope Cruz or Antonio Banderas (or Paz Vega, for example) have some role. Only one character in
Luca was voiced by an Italian actor, though, so we better not get our hopes up.
I read in an
article that Lea Salonga is rumored to be part of the voice cast, but I don't know where they got that info from, because I don't see anything about her potential participation anywhere else. She has some connection to Spain, though, since she's from the Philippines, which was a Spanish colony in the past; her name is Spanish (Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga, according to Wikipedia) and I've checked some Youtube videos and she also speaks Spanish; not perfectly, but quite well. Come to think of it, perhaps Dahlia is of Filipino descent. That would make sense historically. Though, Lea Salonga might be a bit old to voice her, so if she's in the film, maybe she voices another character.
