It's one thing when they did so in Ralph Breaks the Internet, those were merely digital avatars who lived in Oh My Disney, it's another when they're supposed to be the "real" princesses from their respective films. I understand this is something that was brought upon by the popularity of the "Comfy Squad", but I'd rather have any intermingling contained in that offshoot of the DP franchise than bring it over to the main one. To me, taking characters from different eras and regions and have them crossover is a bigger sell-out and a violation of their integrity than giving them new outfits, hairstyles or accessories. This is also something that Roy E. Disney fought hard against and undoing it would be disrespectful to his wishes. I hope this is something only done for the Ultimate Princess Celebration and won't be a permanent change to the franchise.
My God, I'm late replying. Hope you're still around to read this, lol.
Like others, I find myself in a situation where I completely understand why you feel that way, but in the end I don't think that the princesses interacting is a bad thing. While, as you pointed out, in
RBtI they were merely digital avatars, I personally do not see the princesses of Disney Princess line as the "real" princesses either. They are part of a line of merchandise, and for that reason I would not apply "movie rules" to them. Furthermore, as
BrollieFish put it, these interactions - implausible as they may be within the world of each movie given the differing time periods (not to mention different universes) - are bringing out the princesses' sorely missed personalities once again.
I will have to research Roy Disney's involvement with the Disney Princess line. I had no idea he had anything to do with it!

I just bought this t-shirt at Target. a)I think it's funny how it's the opposite of their new campaign, that has the girls interacting...they all are just staring off on this one. b)Belle is in her "pleasant" dress!

^That's a lovely T-shirt Amy! The princesses look really good there. Only Cinderella is a bit off. Is it an official product licensed by Disney or a bootleg?

Thank you! a) Yes, it is an official Disney Princess shirt! b) I meant Belle's "peasant" dress, and it autocorrected to "pleasant."

I find it bland and all over the place. And they had the scene of Anna being dangerously forced away from her sister as like a triumphant moment? Geeze.

Gosh, I never realized the singer was Cinderella from the 1997 movie.

I gotta see that movie already.
The song itself was okay, but the lyric video was super chaotic.

I wonder if it’s finished? Some poses are repeated in the different months. Very cute, nevertheless.

I’m getting into doll collecting, but I don’t like these. I think these are by Hasbro, though, which I think has a rather poor reputation.

^if you wanna start Disney doll collecting focus on the ones from the Disney Store. Better quality and they have articulated upper limbs.
of course you should get what you like or what feels right to you, but generally with the exception of a few collectors versions, the Hasbro dolls are junk.
I was hoping for a calendar with the new art but could have done without all the tacky flowers cluttering the images.

So far, I’ve been focusing on Collector’s Disney dolls from the late 90’s from Mattel. I have four so far, with another one in the mail. I may share a pic of my collection when it gets here.

The flowers are beautiful and not tacky.
Mattel and Disney Store dolls are exactly what should be collected.

Aww, those illustrations are so nice. It's good to see new art of Snow White as well. She seems to be bff with Moana in these new arts.
