The Family Stone - I really liked this movie! I'd seen it before, back in 2005 or so, but pretty much forgot everything that happened. I reccomend it to everyone!

The last film I watched was
Metropolis, the 1927 masterwork by Fritz Lang. Unfortunately, a quarter of the film has to be considered lost forever.
But what I saw, was amazing. It's incredible how you can be engagd in a picture in which no word is spoken and you have to read all the dialogue from title cards.

Welcome to the amazing world of silent films, many of witch are far better than stuff put out today with everyone jabbering on about nothing. Might I recommend?:

The missing portions were actually rediscovered earlier this year!

Kino Video will release the film on Blu-Ray and re-release the DVD next year, both with the rediscovered footage re-instated into the film!

I watched Monty Python's Life of Brian last night. I thought it was pretty funny, but I still kind of prefer Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I just watched
Deck the Halls.
It's a fun Christmas movie. I had never seen it before but I was in a Christmas spirit this afternoon while shopping and since it was on sale for the boxing week I decided to buy it! I would say I'm happy with this purchase! I will definitely watch it again next Christmas!

Oh, I've seen many silent films, such as the classic Chaplin films (City Lights, The Kid, The Circus, Modern Times, The Gold Rush). I'm doing a film studies, and because of this, I've also seen silent films as they were intended: in a theatre with a pianist accompanying the film. But it *still* amazes me how well they work.

Seriously, that movie is so much more entertaining than over 98% of all the Hollywood crap being released into theaters today, and still most of the television shows!
God, I hear my roomies behind me on days watching N.C.I.S., House, etc., and they're so bad- I literally feel like barfing! Just flipping through the channels is an experience so depressing, I wonder how I get out of bed in the morning to go work at a Movie & DVD rental place, knowing America is poisoning its' collective mind with so much lame garbage...

Bedtime Stories - Overall it was a decent movie. Courtney Cox and Keri Russell were the best parts.

Not quite a film, but yesterday I caught a bunch of early episodes of Friends on TV. I had never seen the sticom before, and I had a blast!
Oh, and Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc are really hot.

Election - This one was okay. I don't agree that it was Reese Witherspoon or Matthew Broderick's best role, but they were both good in it.
