I'm surprised anyone's tried to re-sing that song. I always thought it was one of those movie-only songs, but maybe it'll actually sound good...?

I'm not too keen on the Jonas Brothers, they're like 13 & 16 or something? It'll be a little tolerable at best.

I always think it sounds kinda weird when some odd popstar or someone else is singing the Disney songs we love and know since we've been kids. There hasn't been one decent re-sung single of a Disney movie! I'd prefer the demo tapes, too.

Though I agree with you for the most-part, I'm one of the few people who actually think Jessica Simpson's version of "Part of Your World" was good. Of course it's nothing compared to the original, but I don't expect anyone to live up that!

I dont really mind new renditions of these songs from singers today. But I always like the original versions ways better...the only version i dont like at all is Kiss the Girl by No Secrets on the first Disney Mania CD...that was like..extremly girly. I actually like the Ashley Tisdale version its not too bad.

The other is the single version currently on Disney Wishes! and is done by Olivia Newton John. I'm sure that this is probably it since TLM was in 1989 and the 80s was about when ONJ started her music career. Also, she must be a bigger name than the aforementioned artist if I can't even remember the name. I'm betting it's Olivia Newton John's single.

What troubles me is that the song is sung by a female and has evident female lyrics ("I'm a very busy woman..") and is just a plain odd song to choose to cover for a boy rock band. I guess just the title "Poor Unfortunate Soul" does sound like a boy rock band anyhow...

I found the specs for the UK DVD on DVDanswers.com
It includes "art galleries", "original theatrical trailer" and a couple things that we havent heard mention of for the Reg. 1 DVD. Do you think the features will be shared??

Chely Wright's version is the one heard over the credits of TLM2.

Olivia Newton John's version would be great but I am hoping another one if Jodi's.

As for the Jonas Brothers, I think they'll sing lyrics fit for a boy rock band.

Yes, the 2-disc DVD will port over the French and Spanish 5.1 dubs from the 1999 Limited Edition.

If you're still not sure, go the official web site, click on "2-Disc DVD" and then click on "DVD Bonus Features". The Technical Specifications of the DVD indicates there is both French and Spanish language tracks.

That's awesome! Thanks for finding it! I don't know, it seems like horribly short notice for a gift set, usually it's mentioned in the first press release, but I know for sure that tons of people have been nagging Disney for it, sending e-mails etc. which leads me to believe its possible.
Keep watching that page for any changes, it might have just been put there empty because of the pattern in the past Platinum DVD's, but this is making things sounds better and better.

Haha, thanks for the elephants, Prince Ali. I am definitely excited about this news because, like many others, this was going to be the one gift set I was actually going to buy. Also, maybe there is a chance that the box set is a BestBuy exclusive. Either way, hopefully it turns out true...
