Whoa! Great job! I wish I could do something like that. I read the tutorial and all but still don't really understand how to do it. :(

Thank you hehe, yeah it was really hard when I first started..I was like...WHERE DO I START! but its actually really simple once you know what your doing like copying and saving then pasting a bunch of images then putting them on each film frame. But I had to download some sort of animator program and then downlaod a dvd player program to take clips of the frames. I accidently used two of the same frames where Ariel's second leg is forming, but its not that noticable, but I think it looks nice lol. Ur Avatar is really cool too by the way.

Well you did a fantastic job!

Thanks about my avatar. I got mine off of iconator.com.

Welcome to the boards, by the way! :D

All the bright, magical flashes triggered Ariel's epilepsy!

It does look nice, but actually I did notice the two frames. It looks like for a brief moment Ariel's right leg (to our left) is having a spasm, or she tried to kick. So, why can't you fix it? You have some time before you make 50 posts and can have an avatar!

And by the way, I had been planning on making that scene my temporary avatar in celebration of The Little Mermaid Special Edition! It's one of my favorite scenes, it has some Disney dust, and it does indeed look cool. But I guess I'll just try to think of something else...if I can ever get a hold of movie clips.

fixed it lol. Now that I look at it, it looks way better hehe. Thanx for the welcome by the way I like being here and talking about Disney, cause I can't do that much anywhere else hehe. Actually I was thinking about using the scene where shes in the middle of her transformation but she looks really like in pain in that part. Disney Duster, how about the scene where she splashes out of the water? Does that have Disney Dust? OH or the part where King Triton turns Ariel Human again her tail sparkles or something even the part where she comes out of the water in the dress, thats a lot of Disney Dust.

If so, I just humiliated myself completely by stating how big the difference is ;) Still, I think the colors are somewhat different. But perhaps that's just my screen.

Great job on that Ariel-turning-human avatar! I'd make one myself if only I had the patience to complete it... for now, I'll stick to Meeko eating a biscuit. At least I now know how to do make an animated gif-file if I want to!

Tearing Tails and Disney Dust

Yes, jeremy88, you're avatar looks way better now! You'll be the coolest kid on the block! 8) It's really awesome. I actually think the one where Ariel is flipping with the gold mist around her tail wouldn't be a bad choice, either. I never thought she was feeling pain, just that the magic was tossing her around. Disney dust, as my signature below would explain, is supposed to be a sparkling effect to represent magic. Ariel's transformation is already over when she spashes out of the water, so it's just the water droplets that look shiny. But when King Triton makes Ariel human, his trident sends a gold wave of magic that sparkles. It's like there's Disney dust on the gold wave.

Thanks for asking! I'm very glad you have joined our forums!

Hi, this is EXTREMELY off-topic, and I apologize in advance, but I got a PM from xxhplinkxx and I can't reply as I joined after the 15th of July, so I have to reply to them here.
What version of Cyberlink's PowerDVD do you have? I had to download Version 6 so I could take snapshots, as my previous version didn't have this option.

Also, jeremy88 congratulations on your final, final product! It looks great, I'm glad I could help, its a long process but it all pays off in the end.
But remember, it has to be under 24kb for it to work on the forums, and you might want to create a picture in paint saying Jeremy88 and resize it to 100x100 pixels, so people can't steal your Avatar!

Oh, no! Skye Sweetnam's rendition of Part of Your World is not in there.

By the way, What's with track 21? Is it Jodi's or someone else's?

My God!

I thought this was a platinum edition of The film the Little Mermiad on DVD, not a collection of pointless music videos. To think this crap is taking up half an hour of space which could've been used for something of some worth! :o

At least this crap isn't swamping the DVD. We might even be really lucky and have Disney move all the useless game onto this [apparently] useless disc, and have some more behind-the-scenes bonus material. And hey, at least the beautiful score of the movie isn't being compromised for the sake of a few pop tracks (yeah Lion King, I'm looking at your soundtrack).

Yes, the 2-disc DVD will port over the French and Spanish 5.1 dubs from the 1999 Limited Edition.

If you're still not sure, go the official web site, click on "2-Disc DVD" and then click on "DVD Bonus Features". The Technical Specifications of the DVD indicates there is both French and Spanish language tracks.

Actually, e-mail is a time-tested method which has in the past been proven to be quite effective. And, it seems that xxhplinkxx has an e-mail address listed, dontcha know!

Maybe that will be worth the purchase lmao.

I cannot wait for the DVD release! :D
So close but still so far away.
