Yes me too , I am anxious to find out what extras are going to be on the
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Blu Ray , I really think they'll push the boat out with this important release and the cover art must have only cost them about $30.00 in total judging by it's infantile quality , so they can spend the rest of the budget on the movie remastering/extras!!!

Oh my gosh, thank you Amy, I think I've finally got it!
Hold on.... you mean one of the DVD options is: a 2-disc DVD plus just the movie on a blue-ray?
I seem to recall back on page 42 of this thread, Escapay had said:
Escapay wrote:o0Andy0o wrote:a 2-Disc DVD + Bluray w/ DVD Cover art and case on Oct. 6
Actually, it's just the 2-disc Blu-Ray + DVD with DVD Cover art and case.
albert
So is this a new development since Escapay's original post? Will there be an option of getting a 2-disc DVD with the one blu-ray disc with the movie on it thrown in, and packaged in the DVD case?
If so, that's news and one will wonder what price this will cost then - will it be the usual DVD price, or the blu-ray price? I would have to assume you will pay the Blu-Ray premium to get that package because they won't want to be selling the Blu-ray at the cheaper DVD-Platinum price. I guess either way Disney would be trying to convince people to buy Blu-ray but if you got this package vs. the reverse (2 Blu-ray with 1 DVD) I think there is more incentive to switch over.
After all if they give you everything on the DVD, then why bother with buying the Blu-Ray? Also what would be the motivation of a person paying a premium to buy the 2-disc DVD with 1 blu-ray when it costs MORE than just getting the 2-disc DVD alone? I dunno. Anyone?

I think that the only difference between the DVD + Blu-ray and the Blu-ray + DVD is the case. I think that the only way to get the 2-disc standard-def DVD will be in the set that comes in November. I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

No mention if it's "all bonus features", so there may be somethings dropped. My money is on the old restoration featurette, the "Disney Through the Decades", and the docent audio on a select amount of stills in the virtual galleries.

i think about getting that too, wanted to buy the 2 blu ray + 1 dvd edition, but with the awful cover i most likely change to the 2 dvd + 1 Blu Ray edition. But still some hope they change that cover again.

I'm pretty sure they are both 2 Blu-ray + 1 DVD... They are just in different packaging.

Um, does nobody here get that the awful cover might just be a lenticular 3D one that switches between Snow White and the Hag?
Also, for the bonuses, no real complaints. My money is on the idea that the "Snow White Returns" storyboards are from the unproduced sequel.
Pierre Lambert Blanche Neige Book out in October 2009!!

On
www.amazon.fr they are showing that the lavishly illustrated Pierre Lambert book of the pre-production
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs in French
Blanche Neige which I have kept going on about (!!!) is to be
re-released in October 2009 at 35 Euros see the hyperlink :
http://www.amazon.fr/Blanche-Neige-Lamb ... 413&sr=1-1
Obviously I cannot tell if it will be as lavish a book , but I'm sure that it'll be a reprint of sorts , disappointingly there is as yet no cover image!
Snow White Returns on 75th Anniversary???

OMG it looks as if they'll produce the Snow White Returns sequel as Walt Disney planned out next year or the year after to coincide with the 2012 75th Anniversary of the classic movie?

So there will be no new "making of" material on there?
Only the old "The One That Started It All- featurette" that was on the last dvd?
I'm not sure I'll buy this version then.
The games and videoclips don't do it for me.
And how exactly did they restore this version?
Will they just use the clownish 2001 version again too?

what? where did you get this from?
Personally I'd love a Snow White sequel. I'd love a sleeping beauty one too. (So long as they are theatrical) But they've already given us the plot of the fairytale and I'm not too keen on disney's original plotlines.

Snow White Returns Storyboards
The One That Started It All- featurette (Walt’s Vision of a sequel)
These highlighted features seem to indicate a possible/very probable sequel as it includes the words : " Walt's vision of a sequel " pointing towards a justification of the Studio making a sequel to the "beloved" movie - in other words as sanctioned by Walt Disney himself!

i thought Walt Disney didn't like sequels to his movies (i think i read that somewhere) . But if they do one, i hope it has a higher quality then some of the direct to dvd sequels.

Oh ok. It sounded more official than that since you mentioned it's 75th anniversary.
Wow, in just over 25 years this film will have it's 100th anniversary

1. Walt had planned a SW sequel?!?!?
2.

at Tiffany Thornton. I love me some Disney stars, and I had reservations about Meaghan Martin doing "When You Wish Upon a Star", which isn't the best Disney-star-remake, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.
3. Yay at the "Princess and the Frog Sneak Peak"

I just hope someone posts it on YouTube, or our library gets the new SW DVD, since I won't be rebuying it.
4. Did "The One That Started It All- featurette (Walt’s Vision of a sequel)" have the (...) part on the website? The title sounds like a normal making-of/historical featurette, yet the (...) part totally doesn't.

I truly hope that they don't make a film sequel to Snow White...that would honestly be a shame.

Which is a bad idea and will confuse many average consumers. They are going to see the two different packaging and think there is something besides the casing that is different. That and no DVD by itself on initial release day is really going to annoy average consumers.

i agree, seems i'm already confused about the different versions and different covers

well, and with the different specials like the dwarfs plush set or the box set it won't get easier i guess.
