My friend is making them. He's from Argentina so he is making them in SPanish. He said that he'll send them all to me once he's done so I can translate them.

I just can't get over the "If Only" Quartet. Oh my God. I remember the demo was fantastic, but I'm literally crying right here.

Just amazing.

I just listened to all the songs on my MP3 player, and I made this review. Keep in mind I haven’t seen the Broadway play, I’ve just heard all the songs. (So I don't have to quote all of that)
I agree with you for the most part. Easily the most boring of the new songs is "Her Voice." I agree about "Part of That World" as well; Boggess does the reprise much better--I think it has something to do with the way she says "And ready to know what the people know" too softly instead of eagerly (but, then, I'm nit-picking).

As for Sherie, she does change her voice weirdly at times (almost like she's imitating the Wicked Witch of the West). I remember thinking she sounded like Rosie O'Donnell during the deal with Triton. It's layed on a little thick for me. I also didn't understood what they were doing with "Poor Unfortunate Souls." It was like they sped the first part up and slowed the last half down (which really takes the impact out of it), with much of the original background missing. I just don't understand why we had to have a thinner, higher-pitched Ursula if the Vanessa plotline ended up dropped.

Also, I think they were talking about Ariel in "Sweet Child (Reprise)" just after they'd overturned the boat at the end of "Kiss the Girl." I love that song, my only complaint being that it's too short (but probably wouldn't be as good longer).

Overall, I enjoyed it and plan to go see it sometime in May (or maybe later). Maybe'll I see TLK at the same time?

SPOILER!!:

In the stage version, Flotsam & Jetsam do not turn over the boat. Instead, they give it an electric shock.

COSTUME SPOILER!

I LOVE how their costumes light up and everything with the zapping noises. :D

Any idea when the book for the show is coming out? I am ordering the Tarzan book, but was hoping the TLM book was out already.

September!!! :o :(

Wait, are ya sure that is the Broadway book? The one that shows the making of the musical? It says ages 8-12....I don't believe any of the other Broadway shows had such an age distinction since the books were very technical. Made to explain how to got to stage, not to entertain us with the story.

Pretty sure.

And, it's actually not that far away. The Mary Poppins book just came out not too long ago :tlm:

If you search on Youtube, you'll find tons of clips from the show. There are a lot of videos of full songs.

Yeah, they weren't supposed to video tape it, but they did it for those who can't get to NYC.

I personally know that I'll see the show a million more times, whether there are videos or not (but they are enjoyable :P).

I don't think the Amazon posted above is for the sheet music book. The publisher for those books is Hal Leonard. if you look at how long it took for Tarzan and Mary Poppins to go from cast recording to vocal selections book, I'd expect to see the Little Mermaid book in August.
The workshop score (with older versions of the new songs) is circulating online. If anyone hears anything, let us know! I'd say keep searching amazon (organize the search by publication date to find future releases)

I know we're supposed to use our imagination...

But HOW IN THE HECK did Triton end up with 4 white daughters?

LOL! I love how that was worded. I assumed Ariel's mom was white (and maybe Asian? xD). Clearly she will be in The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, but I also assumed she was for the stage show.

Therefore, they had two black daughters and five white daughters. :D

The show's all about imagination. Like imagining that a kid dressed in a yellow shirt with a blue fauxhawk is Flounder, and not some tiny homeless punk kid.
