You must not know what an allegory is. Narnia is an allegory, just like most fairy tales are. The words God and Jesus are never said in the book. There is no difference.

Moreover, the writers of this show can do whatever they want, whether it's "religious" or not.

Most fairy tales are allegories for...what, exactly?

And I thought Aslan actually was supposed to be God and his magic was God's power and the land he took everyone too was really Heaven.

Nothing, Disney Duster. It's nothing. We're just dandelions inside your mind. I momentarily forgot not to respond. My bad.

The author C.S. Lewis though has come out and said he wrote Narnia with The Bible in mind and left specific references to the bible itself. Where the fairy tales of Snow White, they didn't come and claim it's based on a certain religion.

He actually wrote Narnia to honor the bible because he decided to stop being and atheist and to become a christian which is well documented. So if they throw Narnia into the mix, I could see some backlash the show might get. Be

I know. But it is still an allegory. If anything, I'd say some fairy tales are much more explicitly Christian than The Chronicles of Narnia, referencing God specifically, particularly Hans Christian Anderson tales.

I agree.

Well I did forget about The Little Mermaid, but I don't remember any of the rest of stories used on this show being religious like that. Even if some fairy tale says a character prayed to God or something like that, that isn't the same as the allegory or metaphor type of religious Narnia is. And The Little Mermaid still isn't that same religiousness either. It's not like Ariel was meant to represent God/Jesus like Aslan.

Thank you.

Anyway, I wonder if the Knave from the Wonderland spin-off will show up in the finale or next season, or at all? I only ask because I know the writers say a lot of things they don't get around to/can't keep to for whatever reason, like how they said Cruella would be on the show this year or that Sidney Glass/The Magic Mirror would be back. They did say the finale would also set-up what's going on, I'm guessing after Hook and Emma finally lock it down, which most of the finale looks to be about.

I'm not really worried about the show's ratings, considering the ratings it's getting in the key demo are higher than American Idol's right now. And Idol looks to be on for at least two more years. (although overall, OUAT's ratings are less, the key demo seems more important to a show's survival)

I completely agree that The Chronicles of Narnia are allegories, but I don't recall OUAT ever incorporating a story that was originally a religious allegory into the show. I mean, "The Little Mermaid" has religious overtones, but I never considered it an allegory. I always thought of it more as morality tale (with the morality part very tacked on). I suppose if they have used any allegorical stories they weren't as overt as Narnia. That's why I'd have a problem with it. It wouldn't seem in keeping with the show. well that and they're my favourite books in the world...

Oooh Cruella's supposed to show up?!! I'd like to see that! Even though there's really nothing fantastic about 101 Dalmatians except for talking, intelligent animals. I'd also like the Knave to show up.

I believe Once Upon a Time is the only show I look forward to seeing every week anymore, so I hope it lives for several more seasons yet.

I keep checking for when they put the third season up for pre-order on Amazon. I thought it would be up by now considering they had the 2nd season up when it first started airing. :? Oh well.

The creators confirmed in an interview that the Knave won't be in the finale. Oh well. I guess there is a lot going on.

Finally all caught up! Sad I have no new episodes to watch on a daily basis, but I love it so much I'm already rewatching it. Also moving to Storybrooke ASAP, bye.

There's a thunderstorm warning here that's lasting for an hour. Hopefully it doesn't mess with me watching the season finale of Once Upon A Time via power outage. That would suck, but I could watch it on Hulu Plus tomorrow.

Emma was in New York when Frozen was probably released..... I can understand Emma not just thinking Snow White of just Disney or any of the other characters. But Elsa looking the way she is? I find it kind of hard to believe Emma's going to not make the connection to her without saying hey I saw that movie it's got a really catchy song in it. This should be intersting. I am pissed that Regina and Robin Hood seem to be done with given Marian is back in the mix. Must be very heartbreaking for Regina.

Well, well.... 8)

Marian has returned and Regina is rightfully angry, and Elsa is our new villain. Now I am REALLY excited for the next season! :D :D :D :D

I wonder if Elsa will be the villain or not? Either way, you know she'll be redeemed in the end. For a moment there I thought maybe it would be Jafar.

Sucks about Regina and the Marian thing. More because I hate love triangles and we only just got through with the Neal-Emma-Hook one. But I wonder, even if Marian hadn't come to the future--wouldn't it have ever come out that, "Hey, I kind of killed your first wife?"

Overall, this season was so much better than last year and the show almost feels as good as the first season again, imo. I hope they can maintain that feeling into season 4. Gah! How am I supposed to go 3-4 months without anything worth watching on TV??? :( :P

I wonder who Elsa is related to...

Snow White's grandmother?
Regina's long lost step daughter?
Emma's sister from the future?
Henry's future wife?

She's related to someone, I know that for a fact!
