Why the heck is Elena on the cliparts? Considering that she`s an uncrowned member, so what gives?

Elena isn't part of the Disney Princess franchise. Amazon just included her (instead of Merida) in their Disney Princess: Shop by Character directory for the public's convenience. That doesn't mean that Elena has been inducted into the the line-up or that Merida has been removed from it.

Oooh! Oooh! I hope Jodi Benson will pick up a few tour dates! And Paige O’Hara, too. This is clearly an off-shoot of Osnes’ non-Disney sanctioned Broadway Princess Parties at Studio 54, because Egan and Reed often performed at those as well. Could you imagine a real Princess “reunion” tour??? Omg I’d buy tickets so fast.

What's with the weird symbols? If they were going to use symbols for each character, you'd think they'd make them more distinctive. No way would I remember which is which without the character's name written underneath.

Is Moana supposed to be leaning on Mulan? Cause to me, it looks like she just has supernatural balance.

They are types of crowns and tiaras. We now definitively know that Cinderella is the "leader" of the group or the "face" of the franchise since her tiara is the one that is used in the logo for the event. It's also interesting that Anna and Elsa are now referred to as Queen Anna and Snow Queen Elsa.

If Anna and Elsa are part of the Celebration, I wonder why they didn't redraw them...it's not a cohesive look using their movie models. But I am here for this Celebration!!! The tour sounds like so much fun. I do NOT have money to spend thanks to some unexpected vet visits, but I'm excited to see what the new merchandise will be. I wonder if that Disney Channel show will be on Disney+...

I figured they were like tiaras, but they're so strange looking, they're hard to even separate from one another. They remind me of the element symbols from Frozen II, too. Plus, Aurora, Tiana, and Ariel already have tiaras that look much better than these.

I noticed the "queen" thing. I think it's a conscious change for the franchise to make the terms princess and queen interchangeable. In the past, I've seen so much Disney Villain merchandise with the tag: "Why be a Princess, when you can rule like a Queen?" They're working to try to de-tooth that kind of good and evil dynamic on power now, good for them.

This all sounds very exciting I love the new character art. Plus the concert sounds super exciting. I'm also looking forward to hearing that new song.

They did it on purpose. Anna and Elsa are not part of the DP franchise; they're part of the Frozen one. Keeping them in CG and in a blue background is a way to contrast them visually to the princesses who are in illustration form and in a pink background. That way they can have them as part of the celebration while keeping the two franchises separate. They've alluded to this in the promotional material for the event too.

Thank you . I mean, that makes *sense* and I know they're not *in* the Princess Collection, but it's just not visually cohesive. That's my only (minor) complaint on this whole thing- I am really excited for all the Princess/Queen goodies to come.

I believe it's the contrary. It's a way to separate them and preserve the boundaries between the two franchises. Now when consumers ask why Anna and Elsa aren't part of the Disney Princess franchise, they can use the excuse that they're both queens, not princesses. On some Frozen II merchandise, they were referred to as Queen Anna and Elsa: The Snow Queen, but I guess now they will be known as Queen Anna and Snow Queen Elsa.

The reason I don't agree with that is because we all know the Frozen sisters will eventually be absorbed into the DP franchise once the Frozen franchise solo has diminished somewhat with time. Disney knows that otherwise they wouldn't promote them together so often.

regarding the Frozen sisters, it hadn't even occurred to me that needing to further differentiate the Frozen franchise from the Princess one was the reason they decided to make Anna a queen so soon in the franchise film storyline. A lot of fans felt it was weird that she became a queen so soon in the 2nd film, and that her being a princess helped to differentiate her from her sister. It also may show just how involved Disney marketing is in the creation of these films.

To me it seems like Frozen is now treated as a sub franchise under the princess franchise instead of being its own separate thing like it used to be not long ago. It might be a step towards integrating them fully in the future.

Why would the Frozen franchise diminish over time? You talk about it like it's inevitable. If Disney Princess can be a perennial, evergreen franchise, so can Frozen. I don't think the franchise will ever become so unprofitable it will need to merge with the DP one. Even if it dwindles at some point, Disney can always release a new piece of Frozen media or launch an event to drum up interest again. They are not going to allow a billion-dollar merchandise juggernaut to disappear.
