This. Hopefully they still have some finalizing to do.Disneykid wrote:I still prefer the UK cover though the German (and US?) one is still lovely. The Fantasia 2000 one needs to be redone, though. The new airbrushed image of Mickey is still clashing with the promo stills.
There may still be hope, though. Look at the spine of Fantasia 2000. That's, as far as I can tell, an entirely new airbrushed image of Donald. Perhaps the Fantasia 2000 artwork has yet to be finalized, and the final cover will better match the original's, placing Donald in the center. Let's see.
They're basically just saying that the both films will be released on November 4th as Special Editions and are available for preorder on amazon.de now.miniroll32 wrote: BTW, I've found a German website that has lots of information;

Translation would be cool!
VideoETA confirms the same date, November 30. Interesting, it lists the blu-ray as a 4 disc set.MutantEnemy wrote:Yes! Finally some news regarding the U.S. release date!
http://www.releaselists.com says it has been confirmed for November 30th, and http://www.thedigitalbits.com says it's coming in November and should be announced very soon.
Probably a 2 disc blu, 1 disc dvd, and a digital copy.Raphdude wrote:VideoETA confirms the same date, November 30. Interesting, it lists the blu-ray as a 4 disc set.MutantEnemy wrote:Yes! Finally some news regarding the U.S. release date!

£17.99 for the Combo is excellent, especially if there is no 2000 separate release.miniroll32 wrote: Shame there's no combo pack available yet, but I've ordered this single edition just to be sure. Screw Play.com - they're more expensive too!

Rather than delivering the advertised <i>Fantasia World</i> that was believed to have compiled a number of recent unavailable Disney shorts, the movies will be joined only by the Oscar-nominated Walt Disney/Salvador Dali collaboration <i>Destino</i> completed in 2003 and only on Blu-ray. Other Blu-ray exclusives include the documentary "Dali & Disney: A Date with <i>Destino</i>", BD-Live feature "Disney's Virtual Vault", an interactive art gallery, DisneyView sidebar art, and detailed notes from the newly-discovered Schultheis Notebook. Available on both the Blu-ray and DVD discs are audio commentaries and the featurettes "Disney Family Museum" and "Musicana: Walt's Inspiration for a <i>Fantasia Sequel</i>". <a href="http://www.dvdizzy.com/coverart.html#nov30"><b>Click here for cover art</b></a>.
