Yes they are.

Welcome to the Dark Side.

Also known as "Team Escapay".

(hands toonaspie a t-shirt that says "I hate tree-killing dvd condoms!", a hat that has burning slipcovers, and a membership card.)

Right now I can think of the following that I've purchased that I haven't watched yet: Lady & The Tramp; Lady & The Tramp II; Dumbo; Swiss Family Robinson; Bambi II; Brother Bear II; Snowball Express; The Happiest Millionaire. There may be more.
Nice to know I'm not the only one around here, (but you might be the only other person in this forum willing to admit to it) - I think my Disney DVD-watching backlog has built up to be about 5 years! However, I finally cracked open my Leave it to Beaver Season I (Season II is coming this year under the tree from my husband, yeah!) and I am really enjoying it. This is the most progress I've made in 2 years... Harold Lloyd, a $65 DVD set, is still in its original shrink wrap. If that turns out to be defective, I'll have to throw myself in the river.

It's not on the list, but does Bambi 2 have a slipcover? I thought I read before that it did.

from the list on page one
The filthy abomination called Bambi II -- according to Luke on page 13 of this thread -- "not only comes with a slipcover, and not only does it have the rectangle on back to see the UPC underneath, but -- get this! -- it's a holographic and embossed slipcover. The titles and characters have a little bit of depth to them and when the light catches it right, it practically sings!"

I'm a newbie with a question: For the Beauty and the Beast slipcover, is the right spine of it being bare normal? My copy only has the title on the left spine.

Mine is like that too, so I think it's normal. Unless we both have bootlegs, but I highly doubt that.

yes it's normal, every copy released was like that.

That film has long been on the list, with my personal comments, courtesy Luke's statements about it from when he got the review copy early.

I've looked all around for copies of Cinderella and Bambi 2 with slip covers and just cannot find them.

If I buy from the Disney Movie Club will they come with slipcovers?

Also, this might not be the right thread, but is Disney still doing the replacement covers thing? Would I be eligiable if I bought a DVD that didn't originally come with a slip cover but is avaliable with one?

Can I get a slipcover for Cinderella and Bambi 2 if I didn't originally buy them with slipcovers?

All the copies I can find around here do not have slipcovers and that's buying them new.

I'd really like to get them so they look like my other Disney films.

Either go to ebay, or Best Buy. Best Buy has all Bambi's with slpicovers, but you're right Cinderella hasn't got one anymore.

Oops sorry I thought you meant Bambi. Nope I haven't seen that one with a Slipcover. Try ebay, you'll find it there.

"I've looked all around for copies of Cinderella and Bambi 2 with slip covers and just cannot find them."

~that because they were only made for a limited time (first shipments)

"If I buy from the Disney Movie Club will they come with slipcovers?"

-the dmc is no longer selling bambi 2, and my cinderella didn't come with one when i ordered it in sept.

if you still can't find one check these out on ebay, he's high but he's a great seller.

I found this on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Disneys-Cinderella- ... dZViewItem

Bambi 2

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-WALT-DISNEYS-BA ... dZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Bambi-2-II-D ... dZViewItem

Hope you win, I think you have a good chance with both Cinderella and Bambi 2. The last link for Bambi 2 has many copies and thay come inside a case that protects the slipcover. Just make sure to ask them if the slipcover is included.

What do you guys do to protect and preserve your Disney Dvd's? I have all my dvd's in Ikea boxes and all the slipcovers in plastic re-sealable bags inside another Ikea box. I was thinking of buying a flat box for my Treasures, but for now they're in Large ziploc bags. I'm such a perfectionist, I like to take care of my stuff, I can't stand it when a person touches the bottom part of a dvd. I can't stand scratches either. Do any of you guys own a dvd repair machine, they're so expensive, I've always wanted one. Theirs a couple of dvd's I have that I bought used that are scratched.

I think you can get up to five regardless if they came with them or not, I would just call... They should send them unless they are out of them.
