When I get my Lithographs I will take photos and post them on this thread so you all can see them

The cast members at my local Disney store said that on July29th I can pre-order this dvd.
Now the cast members at my local Disney store said that they will not have this movie in blu-ray. I don't think they have any films in blu-ray. Other Disney stores could be different though.
So far I have not heard anything about being able to get the Lithographs online if you order from the Disney store online. I did call them about the blu-ray edition and the bonus disc. The cast member looked it up and it did not give her much information about this bonus disc. I do think I saw a little information about this bonus disc online last night, so I will check it out again.

I was told when I was pre-ordering "Enchanted" that I had to pick it up at that specific store because only some stores carry blu-ray movies.
Sleeping Beauty (Special Edition)

I also wanted to let you all know that is anyone wishes they had got Sleeping Beauty when the Special Edition was out that you can order it from Amazon Merchants and Marketplace sellers at a good price. I think the prices have gone way down since the new Sleeping Beauty dvd edition is coming out.
I remember when it would cost a lot of money to buy it from one of these sellers. Like the cheapest one was like $40 and that was just for the movie disc and not the bonus disc and no cover artwork. It would cost like $75 to $100 or more to get the Special Edition with both disc and the cover artwork.
Now it seems like a lot of these sellers have them for around $20 to $25 with both disc and artwork all in good shape. Anyways I just thought I would let you all know, just in case the new Sleeping Beauty dvd edition does not have some of the bonus stuff that you want on it.
I might be a good idea to ask the seller questions to make sure you are getting what you want. Here is the link.

Flam-Ham, Sleeping Beauty is one of your favorites, aren't you most excited about seeing the film's new look and hearing it's new sound? The new presentation of the film is always what I'm most excited for.
Flower's Friend, so are you going to watch the old DVD and VHS after the new DVD to see what's different between them? Did you do that with Bambi, and all the others?

wait let me get this straight: the castle walk-through bonus feature will ONLY be on the bluray, not the regular dvd?

the lithographs look GREAT!
Thanks for posting those pictures. I just called my local store and they said they are taking pre-orders starting Tuesday for the Blu-Ray.
I'll be there on Tuesday!

Well yes that is interesting but the castle walk through has always fascinated me and Disney's theme parks rank #1 in my order of the company's divisions that interest me most. Yes, Sleeping Beauty ranks #1 on my DAC list (#2 overall Disney film), but I've already seen it unlike the walkthorugh or other bonus features.
You do get all 4 lithographs when you preorder and hooray for Aurora in her blue dress on the front of the cover(!) and that awful clip art image being on the back this time. And the castle walk through will be on the regular DVD.

Thanks Flanger-Hanger.
looks like i will be pre-ordering from the Disney store. Unless another amazing exclusive comes up. I was thinking of buying it at future shop because of the steel books that normally come with the platinums. Ohh well maybe ill just buy it twice.

I'm exactly the same way,
Flanger-Hanger. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney film, yet the theme parks are the number one division of the Disney company that interests me the most. I guess because I grew up with the parks and been visiting them since I was four, and there's always different magical experiences when I go there, and revisiting the same favorites like Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Hence why I'm so excited for the walk thru and it's what I'm looking forward to more than anything else on the DVD.
And the lithographs look absolutely beautiful! I especially love the one of Phillip and Aurora out in the woods together. Looks like I'm going to have to preorder the DVD now from my local Disney Store.

Yes, that is one of the reasons why I will watch the old dvd and vhs to see the difference. It's fun

Also I did this with Bambi and some other Disney movies.
Sleeping Beauty,Bambi and Alice in Wonderland are some of my favorite movies of all times. I have all 3 of these films on vhs and in my eyes no dvd or blu-ray edition can replace the vhs editions. Now if I could only have either the dvd or vhs, I would take the dvd. But since I can have both I will take both

So basically what I am saying is a nice dvd edition of one of my favorite films does not replace my old vhs edition, it basically gives me a new magic way to enjoy the film

I will really enjoy Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray when I get back from my birthday vacation in DisneyWorld in Jan/Feb. Blu-ray will give me another magic way to enjoy this magic tale

here are some screen caps from the BDLive feature:
To clear up the "bonus DVD" apparently... when you buy the bluray it will include a copy of the film on DVD... So the way it sounds is there will be 1 Bluray disc (with the film and it's bonus features) and 1 DVD with the film again and different bonus features... Naturally the DVD PE will be 2 DVD's and only one will contain the film, the second will be completely bonus features.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet either... but the main menu is a "living menu"... if you have internet hooked up to your bluray player, then weather and time of day or night will match your weather and time of day... for instance if you put the Bluray in while it's raining and gray, the land of Aurora and Phillip will be rainy and gray... and if it's sunny and the skies are blue... it will be sunny and have blue skies on your Bluray menu also !

I truly don't get this. Why would they give you a bonus DVD of the film and bonus features when you are getting the EXACT SAME THING on the Blu-Ray version? Or will the Blu-Ray have less bonus features than the DVD? I'm confused, lol.

How do you get the internet hooked up to your Blu-ray player? My Computer is in the office and when I get my first Blu-ray it will be going in my room. If there is a way that I could get the internet hooked to my Blu-ray player I would love to check out this internet bonus stuff on the Blu-ray edition.

I believe Profile 2.0 players have ethernet connections that allow you to go online.

*edit* - nevermind - I thought the bonus DVD was only for people who pre-ordered the Blu-Ray from the disney store online.

This is what I saw on DisneyShopping.
"Disney's classic fairy tale is finally being released from the vaults for a limited time only in this 2-disc Platinum Edition Blu-ray edition with bonus DVD."
I believe this means that it will be 2 Blu-ray disc and a bonus dvd. Notice that after it says a 2-disc Blu-ray edition that it says it comes with a bonus dvd. I am not really sure though, but this is what I think it means.
