I'm trying to talk a friend into going and seeing this with me tonight. I hope she says yes because I really want to see this, but I'm a big geek and won't go by myself, lol.
I'm glad it's doing well and getting good reviews.

today is the most wonderful day of 2007 for me.after months of anticipation i wasnt let down! Enchanted was sweet! i was surprised by the level of maturity it had..i was expecting something kiddish but i was more enchanted by the complexity of its issue and the strength in giselle's characterization. i had low expectation on dempsey thinking he'd just be dempsey but instead i believed he was robert, a disney 'prince' in his own rightl.it was touching, cute and the music on big screen! arghhhh the narration by julie andrews remind me of the cinderella narration. i had HOPED pip would be as annoyuing as terk, thank god he wasnt. there were a few moments when i felt like crying because i so root for giselle and her calamity. from the clips it seemed like she's a bimbo, good news is she wasnt. unlike other disney princesses her conflict wasnt towards a villain. its about her inner wantings as a humanimated being. i hope she gets nominated for her indepth portrayal of a fairy tale princess. and if she wins, it shows u dont have to be troubled, psychothic, naked female characters to nab an oscar.
my minor issue with the story is
its rushed ending and the horrificly hideous dragon, i wouldve preferred if it was speechless or a change of voice ala jafar and ursula..and narissa was a weak villain. i sang along to the songs, good old disney menken songs! this movie satisfies me more than POTC3.
i give this sweet little MAJOR movie a B+
arghh cant wait to see it again!!!!!!!!

I saw the movie this afternoon, and I loved it, too!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!! I love Giselle...she's such a great character!!!!
I loved seeing the little Disney references...

Also, the credits said that Judy Kuhn (sp?) was in the movie- she did the singing voice of Pocahontas...I thought that it was interesting that both she and Jodi Benson are in this fllm!
I give it an A+!!!

I liked the fact the dragon spoke.
Also another Disney reference I haven't seen mentioned. Pip impersonating Giselle reminded me heavily of Abu impersonating Jasmine. Not sure if it was intentional, but it sounded, looked and felt the same.

spaking is not a problem but her lines were downright corny n the cgi dragon face reminds me of 5 children n IT.
spoiler below
during the battle..edward,nancy n nathaniel just look up similar to cogsworth, lumiere n mrs potts at the balcony.[/b]

I LOVED it!!!! It was fantastic! If you go on USA Today's website, they have 2 pages of disney that is refrenced in the film. I was able to catch most of it. Except for when Belle had her cameo, I could hardly understand a word.
Although, I didn't see a pregnant lady (Judy Kuhn), or maybe i wasn't paying close enough attention.

I just saw it agin and the audience I sat with had even more fun this time! Also, I like how the font for Walt Disney Pictures Presents matches Cinderella's opening credits.

exactly! it was so classic and i always wondered how much variation can they do with the new disney logo..and this just proved one of them. but it was a bit of a shock as the logo music ends and the feature score started afterwards..like an aftershock.

I was thinking the same thing! I felt it was more a romantic comedy than a family movie. STILL a family movie, but more romantic comedy. More adult humor and situations than expected. Spoilers -->
The way she touched Robert's exposed chest for instance. It wasn't scandalous, but it wasn't something kids were likely to get at all.

OMG! I loved this movie! I saw it thanksgiving day, yesterday lol. It was great. I loved Jodi Benson and Paige they both did a great job. I wish Paige was in the movie more.

So much of this movie I liked.
However, I think Amy was weak in singing the songs, was it suppose to be like that?

The movie was terrific! Feel good, light hearted fun. If this is an attempt at a Disney "comeback", boy is it working. The opening had me all nostalgic and in awe that Disney still doesn't mind pulling off a fairytale opening every once in a while. Alan Menken's work on the soundtrack is superb. The opening song ranks right up there with all the familiar classics. But trully, it's Amy that steals the show. She is charming, sweet, enduring and took the role of the princess and gave it that extra touch to make Giselle feel unique among Disney's growing lineup.
A is my grading for this movie, despite some flaws (which I have seem to have forgotten since last night

).

Yeah, I was kind of thinking, "What Disney movie am I missing?" with that scene. I guess we never get to see the Disney Princesses when they're just lounging around the house or taking a shower, so that's what they do when we're not looking.
What about
the burly guy smiled at Edward? He was all ":) ???" Edward didn't get that one, either XD
