That's obviously a bunch of bullshit, lol. Don't believe everything on the internet. The obsession with "princess" films will produce tons of fake rumors and there won't be any legitimate news for awhile so calm down.
The casts of Frozen and Big Hero 6 weren't exactly household names anyway.

Yeah, I don't see it happening. Selena is Hispanic, while Moana is Polynesian. That kinda ethnic disparity, I would hope anyway, is something that Disney doesn't really partake in anymore. Not that Hispanics can't be voice actors anymore. Rather, they'd be looking for a Polynesian actress to better reflect the character of Moana. Or maybe I've been spoiled by the appropriate casting of Big Hero 6, I dunno.

According to Disney, Princess and the Frog bombed because of no big stars as the leads (Oprah and Terrence had like what? 3 lines).
Ugh. This again?
I thought it was made pretty obvious that, despite it not being a runaway hit (like Frozen per say), TPatF was a moderate hit?

That is
not production artwork for Moana. It's personal work by Brittney Lee titled "Hawaiian Gods and Goddesses".

He is part Samoan which would be why he would be interested in playing the role of Maui.

If so it's not the first time The Rock has voiced a CGI character:

Honestly, what man would turn down the opportunity to voice the male lead in WDAS next Princess Musical after the success of Tangled/Frozen? If he's not the voice of Maui it's because the producers says so. I don't see him turning this down.

Even though Maui is not a love interest, he will still be the male eye candy that has become a recurring element of this era. A hot shirtless demi-god will make the fan girls' heads burst.

imdb has been wrong on who was cast to voice characters. I mean before the Princess and the Frog came out it had Angela Basset as the voice of Eudora. So, don't believe it until something is fully revealed.

Speaking of the movie, it's noteworthy that the previous article about the composer mentioned that Musker/Clements directed that movie, along with "Mermaid" and "Aladdin". I thought Disney were ashamed of that movie!

Remember how late they announced the cast for Big Hero 6?
Why in God's name would any of this be legit?

And also Gary Oldman as Bowler Hat Guy in Meet the Robinsons. (That actually would have been kind of cool.)

To be fair, Angela Basset was initially cast and later replaced by Oprah, most likely to sooth the controversy regarding the chamber maid reactions.
