I hope the songs that are listed on Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," on Wikipedia ARE fake. Because I must agree, it does not sound like they are going to be good. I know songs like, "Part of Your World," "Beauty and the Beast," "A Whole New World," "Colors of the Wind," "Go the Distance," "Reflection," and many more that topped it off, but I would not count on the songs for Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," unless Alan Menken has some songs cooking. If I was a music composer for Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," I am thinking of something like, "I Wish Someone Sets Me Free," performed by Rapunzel. And Flynn Rider can sing the same tune based on that song, only it shall be called, "I Promise I'll Set You Free." And when Rapunzel and Flynn Rider sings a duet based on the same tune, they shall sing, "At Last You've/I've Set Me/You Free." If Flynn Rider has friends that are also bandits, they shall sing, "Band of Bandits," to entertain Rapunzel. According to the leaked trailer showing Rapunzel singing in front of the pub thugs at the bar, she can sing, "I'm Rapunzel (inspired by the 80's rock song, "The Warrior," by Scandal)," in an 80's rock type, with her long golden hair as her electric guitar. Those songs I made up are NOT for Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," they are just examples. Here is a recap on the songs that I have made up that are NOT part of the movie:

1. I Wish Someone Sets Me Free (in E flat Major (Classical)) - Rapunzel
2. I Promise I'll Set You Free (in E flat Major (Classical)) - Flynn Rider
3. At Last You've/I've Set Me/You Free (in E flat Major (Classical)) - Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
4. Band of Bandits (from C Major to D Major (Jazz)) - Flynn Rider and his Bandit Friends
5. I'm Rapunzel (in D Major (80's rock)) - Rapunzel

Please note: these songs are NOT part of Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," they are written by me.

P.S. Madame Gothel shall sing, "You Belong to Me (in G Minor (Rock))."

I am I, I'm Rapunzel
The Lady of the Tower,
My Destiny calls and I go!

And the wild wind of fortune,
Shall carry me onward,
With all my hair which shall flow!

(Sorry, that one song idea kind of made me think of that.)
And I've heard of air guitar, but hair guitar? Never. I'm sorry, Polizzi, but, to be honest... Those just don't sound very good at all. And Madame Gothel is already singing "You Are My Forever." So.... yeah. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the whole thing was supposed to be done in a 50's rock style.

That is because to tell you the truth, I have not yet wrote the song yet. I came up with the titles, but not the songs based on the titles. True that some may sound a little corny, but once I put it to a song, who knows. Maybe people might find it interesting and understanding...maybe.

Divinity~ I feel a little late with this now, but no hard feelings over anything; I'd felt you'd been acting defensive for a while and was wondering if something was wrong. I hope you never thought I was being arrogant or condescending or however I put it before; that's never been my intention with anyone around here (even if I'm quick to make light of things or become defensive myself). Whatever might be going on with you, I hope things get better soon. :)
Disney Duster wrote:Oh and sorry enigmawing but I do not think Rapunzel has fit as easily into your style. But I think it is really because you have not seen enough of her or good, accurate, all on-model images of her. However your other renderings of Disney heroines have turned out great, beautiful, and cute. Like Tiana and Alice!
Thanks for the comments. :) I'm gonna assume you're talking about the new Rapunzel and not the old? While it's true we haven't seen enough accurate images of her yet, I was mostly going for the painterly-like style I'd gotten some practice on through the watermark-removing I've been doing, which is kinda new to me. Anyway, I can't objectively see whether or not she suits my style but I prefer to do things my own way regardless. ;)

Huh...

Anybody remember when we first heard some TPATF music? I'd say that would be a good judge of how long we'll have to wait.

I'm so excited- pure Menken again!

It was with the first teaser, part of "Down in New Orleans." That debuted with Bolt, I believe. So, if it was a good judge, we'd have heard it last November.

I meant like the whole soundtrack, or rather clips of it. I distinctly remember listening to snippets of TPATF's music on the album's official website, a few months or so before the release of the film.

I love the songs from Disney's, "The Princess and the Frog," especially, "Dig a Little Deeper (which is something Disney should do by the way)."

Yes enigmawing I think you captured that painterly style rather well, or at least the kind being used on this merchandise we've seen. You've learned a brand new style that's just coming out for this movie so quickly!

But I didn't think the first or latest Rapunzel pics you made really looked like her. Sorry. As I've said I think you nailed the other heroines you have done that I can remember.

I wanna say it was mid July or later even. I don't think it was in the spring at all. I don't think it was too long before the soundtracks release. We did have a youtube video of Randy Newman playing and singing bits of Down in New Orleans like a year before the films release though.

Yeah, it's kind of funny that we heard more from the (temporarily) 'scrapped' Snow Queen than we've heard from Tangled.

"Love Can't Be Denied"

I have to say I've never hoped for anything more in my entire life that "temporarily" turns out to be true.

Okay, maybe a bit of an exaggeration. But it's definitely up there on the list.

Is there a leaked song from Disney's, "The Snow Queen," or that is just a prototype? Just curious.

To get an idea of Zachary Levi's singing voice. Here is a new duet he sings with Katherine McPhee called Terrified. So we know roughly what Flynn Rider will sound like when he sings:
