Born in 1988, and saw my first Disney movie in theaters, 101 Dalmatians, while on a trip to New York in 1991, and so began my obsession.
When we came back to my home town my mom re-did my room with 101 Dalmatians stuff, and it also became the first movie I owned on VHS. Besides 101 Dalmatians I have seen Beauty and the Beast, The Fox and the Hound, Snow White, Aladdin, the Lion King, The Emperor's New Groove and Lilo and Stitch in theaters.
From 1995-1999 my family was too poor to see any movies in theaters, hence why I missed out on the rest of the 90s films; though my grandparents bought me a heck of a lot of the classics on video.
In 2002 I bought my first Disney DVD (Lilo and Stitch) and from then until November of 2005 I collected 32 of the DAC on DVD. Unfortunetly on November 28th of 2005 a house fire claimed all but one DVD. But in 2006 I managed to recollect 17 of the films on DVD, including all 8 platinum titles.
Im currently working on finishing a collection of the 45 DAC as well as collecting pretty much any piece of disney memrobillia I can get my hands on. I hope to someday have a room in a house dedicated to the Disney Animated Classics.
