Yeah, those credits are really beautiful to watch. And they do put an extra mini scene after the credits that I really enjoyed. In the end of the credits they also wrote something like "Kristoff's view that all men pick their noses is not one shared by the Walt Disney company" because kristoff mentioned that to Anna when he was trying to understand why she wanted to marry Hans so quickly. But I just thought it was funny considering all the political arguments surrounding Frozen.

I'd also like to add that I was really impressed with Kristen Bell's performance. I knew that Idina would be wonderful; i've seen her perform in Wicked. But Kristen sounded flawless, particularly in scenes where she sings with Idina. They complement each other really well.

I find that review to be extremely frustrating. Especially the excessive dislike of Anna. I am astounded at how even her words to Elsa during the reprise of For the First Time in Forever could be framed as being something negative, something selfish. Of course, she was saying that to help her sister, to remind her for the need of human connection, her isolation only ever having the effect of giving her momentary relief.

Look, I understand the IMDB crowd's* frustration about the phasing out of the more traditional, ladylike, graceful female. Doesn't really mean that such ire must be directed at other sorts of females as well. And they seem to continually forget about the extent of Anna's suffering as well, choosing to emphasize her 'selfishness'.

And of course, there is the usual nonsense about romantic love being superior.

*I understand that kioewen may not actually post on the IMDB boards, nevertheless s/he certainly shares the same general ideas.

I enjoyed that review but really disagree that Elsa's heart and character is "half frozen" without romantic love. To me, the whole movie was screaming "romantic love isn't always the answer". We see in Anna's song that she has been dreaming of romance for a long time, so it's fair that she get's a kiss at the end. Elsa was never even hinted at being interested in romance, or guys for that matter. You can argue that is because she had her ice powers and guilt holding her back, but I feel like disney would've approached this in some way. I think it is weird to assume Elsa is interested in guys or starting a family. The only thing she ever longed for is familial love and possibly friendship. Like when she tells Anna that she wishes she could have the gates open all the time. She really does long for connection, and she does get that in the end! But it is never implied that she is looking for romantic connection, and to me, it'd feel forced. It's just like Merida all over again- not showing romantic interest in guys means that there is something wrong with her. That is really annoying. I love Elsa how she is.

So, here is my full, non-spoiler review of Frozen.

As I said, while I think "Frozen" is great, it isn't quite one of my favourite Disney animated films. But, like my experience with Tanlged, I can see my enthusiasm (and rating) increasing on repeat viewings.

Cheers. Great would be enough for me, I think a lot of fans are setting themselves up for disappointment with these endless comparisons to Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, especially considering the effects of nostalgia and the cultural impact both those films have.

Bah. I remember when Tangled came out, and everybody was all "it's the new Beauty and the Beast!!!", when the actual thing was so mediocre. People seriously need to calm down.

So I'll take those comments with a grain of salt...Granted I am interested in seeing how this film will work out either way...Looks 100% much better than Tangled.

Call me bizarre, but I actually want Elsa and Kristoff to get together. Hmm.

Now that is a really nice review estefan. I'm glad that you really liked Mike Giaimo's art direction in this movie, even looking at pictures of the film it already looks gorgeous and a wonder to behold especially Lisa Keene's lighting design (she was also assistant art director).

They could have at least announced him with Idina last year.

It's interesting that Josh was involved with Frozen sometime before he played one of the leads in Mormon. With Giants coming in the near future which is also a fairy tale musical, I wonder who will write the songs for that movie?

With all of the raves, possibly the Lopezes. I don't think they're going away anytime. Again, it's a director from Tangled who's making Giants. So, I have a feeling it will be Alan Menken since Greno (Right?) worked with him once. I don't care who it is as long as the other returns. I just hope that it'll be a mostly Broadway cast again.

Actually, I saw Matilda this summer (Fantastic show, ROBBED at the Tonys) and the guy who was Miss Trunchbull, Bertie Carvel, was phenomenal. He deserved it as much as the winner. He would be fantastic as a giant. And i would love to see CINDERELLA star, Laura Osnes as Angelina. Unfortunately, i had to miss CINDERELLA for Newsies, but saw Osnes in Anything Goes 2 years ago. She would be perfect as a Disney Princess (which she wants to be). And I may or may not mentioned that she should audition for GIANTS in a fan letter.

I love the idea of Bertie Carvel as The Giant and Laura Osnes as Angelina, it's again, Broadway inspired casting like Frozen. I hope it's either Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez or Alan Menken with lyrics by either Schwartz, Rice, or, if possible, Kristen Lopez.

I have "seen" Cinderella and Osnes would be PERFECT to play a Disney princess as she was fantastic as Cinderella in the underrated new version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella with a nice, classic musical, funny, and updated new book by Douglas Carter Beane.

I really love the orchestration they used for Let it go on that Disneyland Paris show... that's what I wanted the movie to have.. an epic and grand orchestration.. But you can't always get what you want..
