Curious about the dragon. I think it's funny how they now made a hand drawn version of Angelina. I thought it was remarkable that they put merchandise of her next to Maleficent from the cartoon version (based on this pic).

So far, this is one of my favorite pictures from the movie. I hope that others will come out soon.

The drawn versions of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent look really good. I think the original dragon is better, but this new dragon is really cool and fierce! I hope there will be an actual dragon and not just a half Maleficent half dragon thing. I think Angelina Jolie put on prosthetics for her transformation into the dragon, and they will morph her before prosethetics, with prosthetics, and final form to make the transformation.

Or they'll keep to the leaked script and have her transform Diabl-- Diaval, into the dragon instead...

That's funny, because i heard somewhere that Philip's kiss doesn't work on Aurora, but Maleficent giving her a kiss on the forehead does. What is Disney's latest obsession with showing romance is "wrong and evil" like Frozen and Brave? Not to mention it's so out of character for Maleficent...

Leaked Script Talk Time

In the leaked script, Phillip only has a cameo. Stefan is interviewing suitors to wake her up shoudl it happen and Stefan doesn't think Phillip is good enough and that's the last we see of him. It ends up being Maleficent undoes her curse, but learns the 3 fairies have done a counter curse, so she rescues off and is actually the one to kiss her and wake her up.

But they said Anjelina Jolie, Maleficent, would be getting the prosthetics and turning into "a dragon-like creature". Plus, her merchandise puts her over the dragon like they are the same.

Don't forget to add Phillip does kiss Aurora. And that the counter curse is that she'll sleep until true love's kiss.

I do agree, thedisenyspirit, it seems this Disneytwist on true love has been happening lately.

Only two months to go till the release of Maleficent.

May 30th is closer to 3 months.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm happy that the movie will go to the path of practical sets/CG, it makes everything really nice and the effort that the art director and the team put together really shows.

After reading the interview above and some of the comments about the leaked script...

...I've actually become pretty excited about this film.

Naturally, I am not a fan of how they butchered the original Disney classic, one of my top 3 favourites. I justify the changes as fairy tales are naturally ever evolving. I imagine Disney's revision of the tale was as much as an upset as this one is to the Disney version. If any story is to be ever inconsistent or ret-conned, it's a fairy tale.

My question is however, how are they relating it back to the 1959 classic? So far the line "what really happened" suggests that the former movie was full of lies, which rather bothers me.

Oh, dear God! Please don't tell me that the leaked script is the official one?!
