I saw A Christmas Carol tonight, and... same here. I thought the little candle guy was creepier than the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

It was the first mainstream movie I saw in 3D. Prior to this, the last 3D movie I saw was either Tought to be a Bug or Muppet Vision 3D or Honey I shrunk the Audience 2years ago in Disneyland. And prior to that it was an IMAX movie many years ago. It did take my eyes a little while to adjust (I wear glasses). My right eye bothered me a little as it is slightly out of line with my left eye and I had a slight headache. But, I thought the movie was well done.

Too scary for kids? Bah! Humbug! Take the kids to see it. Afterall, they should get scared every once in awhile. And maybe they can learn something from the story. Since when did a piece of classic literature become too scary for kids? Miley Cyrus and Jonas Bros., now that's scary.

12 angry men (1957)

It's fascinating how 12 men sitting in a room arguing for an hour and a half can be so intruïng. (Has to have something to do with Henry Fonda and Sidney Lumet.) Very well written, as Fonda drops clue after clue about why the other men are wrong to be so sure about the boy's guilt. He doesn't give them all away at once, but he reveals them bit by bit as to reach a maximum effect. He had me convinced, too. Some people on IMDb have commented that the other people were all stereotyped, but I have to disagree. I know people who act, think and reason like the men we see in this movie. Besides the writing and acting, I praise Lumet for being able to capture the atmosphere, of a tiny room on a hot afternoon, so well. Made me feel like I was there, too.

The ladykillers (1954)

Not the Coen-remake, but the original with Alec Guinness. Good comedy that provides for some good laughs, but not anywhere near the 8.0 from IMDb.

Beyond the Sea- I had wanted to see it since it came out. I really enjoyed it. I enjoy Bobby Darin's music, so it was great how there was a lot of music in the film. All the actors did a great job. Really creative. A-

Across the Universe Movie 'musical' with story build around songs of the Beatles. Like "Hair' it takes place in the 60's of the previous century with the war in Vietnam as background story. Characters all have names that alude to Beatles-songs like "Jude', "Lucy', Sadie', "Prudence' and "Dr Robert". Some pretty psychadelic images, which is also due to the strange lyrics several Beatles songs have like "Happiness is a warm gun" ('Mother Superior jumped the gun' with a catholic priest dancing and jumping around in a hospital filled with wounded soldiers). Surprise: the actors are all good singers

Il y a longtemps qui je t'aime Excellent drama with Kristin Scott Thomas as Juliette, who goes to live with her younger sister after being in prison for 15 years for killing her child. In the end you wil learn why she did this. (I already knew why before I saw the movie because my mother spoiled it for me , so much of the 'suspence' was lost, but still it was very good)

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - You know, I really enjoyed this movie better than I remembered having enjoyed it before. I also appreciated Snow a bit more this time around. She really is much, much stronger than say, Aurora. And it really is her innocence and sweetness that make her as a character. They are her strengths, not so much weaknesses. Excellent start for Disney as far as features go! The gags also struck me as funnier than they did before for some reason.

Unlikely Angel - I had never seen this, and Dolly Parton always cheers me up, so I decided to watch it today. It was good for a TV movie, and I was surprised that Allison Mack from Smallville was in it!

Madame Bovary with Jennifer Jones. Finally bought it after Amazon included it in their $5.79 clearance. Fantastic film, full of bold Vincente Minnelli touches. Jones is magnificent.

Sherrybaby - How Maggie Gyllenhaal was not nominated for an Oscar is one of the mysteries of this decade. Seriously, girl was fierce in this movie. Highly recommended.

Stand and Deliver - We watched this in calculus today. It was very interesting, although I thought some of the acting was a little cheezy from time to time. Very inspiring, though! If those kids could learn that much math in 2 years, I can survive it for one semester! I couldn't help but be reminded of the South Park parody while watching it, though!

I just came back from a screening of Up In the Air. I hadn't even seen a trailer for it- all I knew about it was from the movie poster. It was AWESOME- I really, really liked it. Funny but sweet. Between an A and an A+.

Milk - Amazing film! I stand up for gay rights myself, which is hard living in the Bible belt. Sean Penn was excellent! I also love Emile Hirch's performance.

The Princess and the Frog :pink::pink: Amazing!

The Princess and the Frog - My god. This is definitely the start of something beautiful and new. Absolutely loved this movie!

Gremlins - Pretty good "Christmas" movie.

Night of the Living Dead - A little overrated. The acting was horrible, but the cinematography was very good.
