Because there's nothing inherently wrong with this topic, aside from the personal attacks and negative replies which are never pleasant to see. And if posts like this aren't being made, then the thread will simply run its course and fade to Page 2 and beyond.

Though I'm not sure the slipcovers merit their own thread beyond the "Post a photo of your DVD collection" threads which, of course, reyquila also started.

Well, with all the threads regarding slipcovers, I think they are an important issue. So I think this is as relevant as they come!!!

Actually, I think Escapay is trying to avoid this topic.

Well I vote for supporting the slipcovers thread - I love my slipcovers! But I'm too lazy to take them off the DVDs to photo them. :D

I really loved the slipcover that the new Cars DVD came in... and on a sour note, my TLM came with a slightly torn slip cover from Amazon but it was too big a hassle to return it over that, so I just kept it.

Why's everyone calling Escapay, is he in charge of Quality Control here? Is he the censor of goog taste and/or excellence? I respect him, I really do, I've learned a lot through his posting, but this a free forum!! Enjoy the photos, I know I do!!!

It's not that he's in charge, it's just that he's a self-professed hater of slipcovers (me too). He's also a very funny guy. I assume everyone's waiting for Escapay to post some witty comments on how slipcovers are so utterly incredibly pointless. I agree I would get a kick out of it. But, if he's trying to avoid the thread, then let's just drop it and get back to the slipcover photo "fun."

As for me, I throw my slipcovers away. Mailing them off just seems like too much trouble for me to go to for something that I think is pointless. I try to get copies without the slipcovers. I might keep the slipcover from the Peter Pan PE, just because it's my favorite Disney film and the slipcover would make it stand out.

Here's a list of all my slipcovers by the way:

Aladdin
Bambi
Beauty and the Beast
King Kong (2005)
The Lion King
Lady and the Tramp
The Little Mermaid
Cars
The Incredibles
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Airplane! The Dont Call me Shirley edition
The Fox and the Hound
Stewie Griffin the Untold Story

Yes I know it's not in alphabetical order.

Here's the pic of my slipcovers (forgot to add the slipcover of The Incredibles) :D

...and the DVDs I plan on buying that will most likely not come with slipcovers are Alice and Bugs Life. The one that will most likely come with a slip cover is Lady and the Tramp 2.

I e-mailed them and they said that they no longer ship out slipcovers, but you can try yourself, and let me know how it turns out!

Dumbo - Big Top Edition question

Posted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 2:47 pm
by Ktrek
Can someone tell me does the Dumbo - Big Top Edition come with a slip cover? I ordered mine online and it came this week with no slipcover and I could have sworn that I had seen it at BestBuy with one. Is there a way to get a slipcover if one exists or am I out of luck?
